  1. Time to get thread back in high-gear as we're getting closer to the election. And it's getting more bizarre by the second. John Stewart, Stephen Colbert and David Letterman have really field day with Romney, they're almost saying - this stuff just writes itself in regards to Romney. Here's random list of things that Romney Campaign flubs: * Calling Medium Income (Middle Class Income) - $250,000 household income or less * "47% of American's believe that they are victims" Comment * 2012 London Olympics Insult * Foreign Policy Fluff criticizing Obama for Egypt & Libya Embassy Attacks * “Join me in welcoming the next president of the United States, Paul Ryan.†* Clint Eastwood and the chair * Not releasing his taxes * Mitt Romney app spells America wrong "A Better Amercia" * Apparently having a fake tan to appeal to Latinos on recent Latino TV show. ( He also previously said too bad he wasn't Mexican because of the possible votes that would have helped with) How can this guy possibly win? Polls are still only showing a slight 3-6 point lead in the polls, but if there's problems with the new voting rules, who knows what could happen... I mean Rob Ford got into office!
  2. DJ Love at 528Hz added... gonna be a sweet night - Chameleon Project has a new Live Album to drop - Company boys are fired - up - it's gonna be a wild folks!

After over 40 years of of touring the world with his signature raucous yet tender voice, the music he’s making today is the best of his career. Fields’ new album with his band The Expressions, Faithful Man, released on Brooklyn’s Truth & Soul Records, a label which reinvents the Motown-style soul factory for a brand new era. The album interprets and pushes the formulas of great soul - thanks to Truth & Soul producers Jeff Silverman and Leon Michels and the high level of musicianship of everyone involved. These are the same individuals that co-wrote, produced, and played on Aloe Blacc’s global smash I Need A Dollar, and have provided the backdrop for records by El Michels Affair, Adele, Liam Bailey, Ghostface Killah and Jay-Z, to name a few. Faithful Man is Fields’ follow-up to the well-received 2009 album My World (Do Right/Truth & Soul). Born and raised in the small town of Wilson, North Carolina, Fields spent his teenage years singing in church and listening to the classic sound of ’60s Memphis. By the late sixties, Lee was touring with foundational funk bands such as Kool and the Gang, Sammy Gordon and the Hip-Huggers, and Little Royal. In fact, Fields was nicknamed Little JB for his similarity to James Brown. From those beginnings, he’s created a sound that’s all his own. With a catalog that ranges from funk to lo-fi blues, to contemporary Southern soul and collaborations with French house DJ/producer Martin Solveig, Lee Fields has done it all. With A Faithful Man, he takes it right back to the old school, with a modern take on a vintage sound, telling tales of love, heartbreak and blues in the time-honored way. And i f there were any doubt at all, take heed of Lee’s own words: “Take it from me,†he says on one track, “I still got it.†Soul Motivators www.soulmotivators.com Finding the right groove means digging deep. With a love of vintage soul and funk, The Soul Motivators have mined their musicality to bring you a fresh revival of a retro sound.

Featuring numerous veterans of Toronto’s thriving underground funk scene, this 9-piece rare groove explosion has a rough, tough, soulful flair that motivates you straight to the dance floor. Known for one of the most energetic shows in town, the band has been heard in many different places. The list so far includes the 2011 Toronto NuJazz Festival, CBC Radio 1 and CIUT FM to name a few. Now the band’s impressive summer schedule includes appearances at NXNE, TD Toronto Jazz Fest, and Toronto Beaches International Jazz Fest. 6. We are very proud to announce our very first event outside of the New York area! On September 7, Dog Gone Enterprises (the global wing of Dog Gone Blog) will be traveling to the Great North for the first-ever Canadian show with rising Brooklyn experimental act Superhuman Happiness. For those not familiar, Superhuman consists of a core segment of musicians from the illustrious Afro-Beat group Antibalas, along with a carefully selected group of top Brooklyn session musicians, under the spiritual and musical guidance of Antibalas/Iron & Wine sax player Stuart Bogie. It's a groove-centric astral stew that is quickly becoming one of Brooklyn's most talked about groups on the scene today. We're very psyched to be presenting Superhuman in Canada for the very first time. Taking place at the much-loved Toronto haunt Lee's Palace, the show will also feature a brand new Brooklyn psych-rock act called Wild Sick Horses, featuring current and former members of Citay, Bizi Gara, Persephonee's Bees, Ka and more. Lastly, the show will also feature rising Toronto indie act Atom and the Volumes, who have been storming the city for the past year with their gritty brand of garage rock. Liquid visual projections will be provided by Jason Steidman. Should be a freak family affair. Come shake your shit and zone out. 10. I'm crushed! Anyone planning on checking this one out?
  11. Just got upto date... I don't really understand why Walt doesn't want to get out and start trying to put his family back together. He says "Cooking Meth is all I have left" Walt wants to be the King of an Empire, but at what costs? his family's life? Walt's character has turned maniacal, tables haver sure turned, Jesse is now the voice of reason, yo! I just read in Rolling Stone about the new blonde kid - apparently there's a big surprise about him coming up. This is “Breaking Bad,†where no one wins.
  12. I just caught the most recent episode (about the Train) and I'm just shocked. The writing is so amazing they constantly remind you that these guys are criminals. Just when they have you rooting for Jesse and Walt they throw tragedy and/or malicious violence into play. not sure how i'd like to see this end, but I dont think it would be fitting to have these guys go on with their lives without karma getting them. The story arc is that Jesse gets more likeable as Walt becomes more despicable. It was surprising that it was Walt's 51 birthday - hard to believe everything that apparently happened in the 5 season was only a little over 365 days. How the story has moved away from the "Bill the Science" guy Walt to Heisenburg the gangster. Although I think Walt's biggest scene was walking into Tuco's crack headquarters with that explosive chemical. IMHO that was still his most exciting moment. Anyone know the death kill for these guys?
  13. got to the party late, how's it going so far?

  16. I know the sentiment is that Obama didn't do enough... was it his fault or was it the situation he inherited? Was more progress possible if he didn't lose the house 1/2 through his term? Maybe health care ended up taking up too much of his time? Any thoughts to why they are so disappointed in Obama? There definitely is a sentiment that Obama is the lesser of two evils, I'd say he's actually done a lot in terms of reshaping how the world sees the USA. Not since Ronald Regan has their been a president that's not only a politician but a celebrity.
