    Band of Brothers, Rome, Rescue Me and Dexter kick it hard. Don't forget about Battlestar Galactica (even with an uneven Season III). I can't wait for The Tudors either (it's a BBC series on the CBC about a young Henry VIII).

  6. The new Wes Anderson film eh? It's called The Darjeeling Limited. I can't wait to see it either. I love the Wilson boys/Wes Anderson collaborations.
  7. I don't download programs, so some of you have already seen a lot of the new season (eg. Booche and Douglas). However, the new Rescue Me is on Showcase and Showcase HD Tuesday at 10pm (with at least two repeats overnight). I can't wait. I can't wait either for the BBC reworking of Dr. Jekyll on Showcase on Wednesday too, called Jekyll (mini-series).

    Heroes !!!

    Great show. I'm looking forward to the new season and also the Heroes spinoff called Heroes: Origins(which will replace Heroes when it goes on its usual mid-seaon hiatus). I hope the new show that follows Heroes is good: Jouneyman. It stars Trainspottting and Rome's Kevin McKidd (Lucius Vorenus).

    The white Bruins jersey looks good as does the "final" Capitals jersey. I'm not a fan of the Sens new look.

I love their early raw heavy blues' date=' but they grew too poppy for my tastes.[/quote'] sorry, i should prob read the whole thread before i post...i do miss them...it was fuckin AWESOME to see Gordie w/ the mule in dec. dave i do agree they got "poppy-ier" towards the end but ya have to admit it was better than 95 percent of the other shit i heard from canada in the same time period. jeff...i didnt know you were a big fan? seen em maybe more times than i have phish... I agree Chew. But man, they really had a good thing going before they decided to experiment with too many different music styles. Gordie has a jazz background, but you'd never know it with the mediocre stuff BS released in their latter-era. However I must say, Gordie's newish blues band hasn't been too successful, so maybe it was a good enough gamble to try and expand BS's musical horizon.
  15. Well, Judd Apatow (40 Year-Old Virgin, Knocked-Up, Superbad) is the best comedy director/writer/producer going today, so I hope his spoof is great. The trailer is pretty funny.   17. When "Shake Hands With Shorty" dropped in 2000, I was immediately hooked. The Allstars blended country and North Mississippi electric Delta blues with the bluesy side of The Allman Brothers. They covered North Mississippi regional legends like Junior Kimbrough, Mississippi Fred McDowell and R.L. Burnside. And then they tried writing their songs and listened too much to their famous father. I also think Luther can't pull off rock-styled vocals. He's much better suited with dirty blues.
  18. Seen them four times. Met them all twice. They only have one good album, and that was their first all-covers near masterpiece. Unless they return to form, I'm going Galactic on them and will never see them again.

  23. This is an uncanny portrayal - at least in this photo. I'm looking forward to the Todd Haynes Dyan film "I'm Not There", one that has various actors portraying different Dylan era.   25. I'd also like to see Luna and/or Galaxie 500 reunite. They came around at the wrong time for their type of dream pop meets Velvet Underground.
