  1. That seems odd. It may have been a technical graphics issue or that they just picked up the clean feed last night for an extra game during this special showcase freebee month.
  2. Why Ollie? They are low budget Rogers channels that no one watches other than during an NFL simulcast, that is always in HD. Who watches Letterman on Omni?
  3. I wasnt talking about the Score and answered the question at hand. What is shown in HD obviously is not shot in HD. I'm intrigued to see EPL on The Score HD if it looks good' date=' that is for sure.[/quote'] HD on The Score looks good when they actually show it. Some of the soccer looks great, but it's not consistent. The streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch digital feed is still always around.
  4. For all you HD subscribers, tonight's season opener is on The Score. I hope they shell out some dough for a real HD feed instead of the fake one they normally use. Fuck The Score.
  5. Prices range from $3.50 to $6.00, but I've never paid more than 4 bucks total and had a happy stomach to boot. Best burritos I've ever had.
  6. Read all about it from Ain't It Cool and TV Guide: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/34619

    Knocked Up

I was discussing Knocked-Up with my wife last night. She liked it, but I believe the film plays better to a younger demographic and was meant for said demographic.
  8. I actually enjoyed the game. It was an early Halloween horror show and I love horror shows. I get the HD Leaf channel for free, so I flipped between quarters of the great football game to the Leaf fiasco.

    Knocked Up

My expectations were high since it's from Judd Apatow of The Ben Stiller Show, The Larry Sanders Show, 40 Year Old Virgin and Freaks and Geeks fame, not to mention he was the producer of Superbad.

    Knocked Up

I can't get too riled up about being disappointed with Knocked-Up. It's an ok movie and better than most of the dreck romantic comedies made in Hollywood.
  11. 45 wins. The Atlantic is far tougher and there will be more parity.
  12. I feel like putting on the foil and dropping some Lecavalier bombs on Low Roller's rugby/cricket loving British wannabe noggin.

    Knocked Up

I thought it was pretty good. It had a soul and was more fuuny-sweet than funny. It certainly doesn't compare favourably to The 40 Year Old Virgin.
  14. Ween's a great live band. Sadly, I they are a phase band for me. Dean never misses a note during his solos while sloppy drunk. It's astonishing.
  15. It'll be a mellow night, although Sam is bringing the "rock" a lot more with The Shepherd's Dog album.
  16. Go to the show. Sam is one of the best singer/songwriters of this era.
  17. I'd say something along the lines of an Ibanez Tubescreamer. Gadgety effects will stunt the learning curve.
  18. I've eaten at Pulp Kitchen. I had the blueberry pancakes. It was delicious, but I would like a big side of bacon.
  19. The New York Cafe at the corner of Broadview and Danforth has cheap great eats of all kinds, including a killer burger. Pizza and Greek food is their specialty, plus all-day breakfast. The beer and wine is cheap as hell too. There's quite a few cheap places to eat on The Danforth. I'll add more later. For Asian food of the Chinese, Vietnamese and a dash of Thai, Ginger is the cheapest and best. There's four restaurants in the downtown - Yonge & Hayden (next to The Brass Rail), Yonge & Gerrard, Parliament & Carleton (Cabbagetown) and Davey Boy's favourite location at Church & Wellesley. The chicken noodle soup is the stuff of legend. All the meat/rice combos are killer and the spring rolls kick major ass.
  20. They have the best pizza in town, but it ain't cheap. Most if not all the ingredients are organic/naturally raised. DO NOT order extra cheese since they load it on, bless their souls.
  21. Hux must be standing on a step-ladder.
  22. In Toronto my favourite wings are from the chain St. Louis Bar & Grill. My second favourite are from The Magic Oven pizza joint on Broadview just north of Danforth.
  23. I've read both of Bruce's books. If Chins Could Kill is an excellent and always funny read and recommended to anyone interested in low-budget filmmaking, acting... and of course the making of the Evil Dead movies. Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way is a weird but still humourous "what if" fictional story about Bruce as a bit actor in a Mike Nichols film. Read this one second, but read it nonetheless. I've actually been a Bruce fan since the early 80's and got into a wee argument with Campbell a number of years back regarding the original video release date of The Evil Dead. Me: "I saw The Evil Dead when it came out on beta in 1981". Bruce: "Impossible. It came out on video in 1983". Me: "Nope. It was '81". Bruce: "Well I know it was in 1983".
