  1. Just grab a guitar and play the chord yourself. The "mystery" will be solved.
  2. Donovan is a very similar player to Shaefer. I think he'll fit in fine.
  3. The thing is, Gibbons can't hit for these guys. I'm not sold on him as a manager that can take you to the next level, but there's other problems on this team more glaring than the manager. Also, the Jays aren't as deep as the Yanks and the Red Sox, so injuries have played a major part in their average record.
  4. I'm pretty sure it's a new episode since Ryan has a new album out.
  5. I'm off to one of my dream destinations in August: Ireland and Northern Ireland. Next up in the near future is Scotland, England and Japan. I'll go back to France in a heartbeat and I want to venture to Nfld and Victoria.
  6. The Jays problems this year hasn't been their starting pitching. It's been their injuries to key players and their terribly inconsistent batting. Having Ryan out for the season was a huge blow too. Imagine having Acardo setting up Ryan after yanking Towers after the 5th? I'm glad Overbay and Johnson are back.
  7. Who else are you going to put in at #5? No one on the farm is ready and AJ is still 'hurt'. All they want from Towers is an even record. Gibbons should have pulled him when the game was tied.
  8. I caught the latest Harry Potter film last night. It's the least faithful adaptation of the five Potter books filmed so far and it is the most thrilling and dark. I think this is my favourite of the five so far. Many book elements were left-out of the movie, like the Quidditch match, some 'twistings' of plot and some characters had lessoned roles (like Draco Malfoy, Hagrid and McGonagall), but all these alterations and chops made for a more streamlined and inevitably better film. Imelda Staunton steals every scene she's in as the wicked Dolores Umbridge. The wizard battle at the end rivals Gandalf vs Saruman in The Two Towers. Highly recommended.
  9. Here's some songs from the Glace Bay Show. Fucking kick ass I tell you whut:
  10. I'm with Pilot Insurance. I'm pleased with their service.
  11. Actually, now that I think about it, I saw the UK version, but I watched it on DVD. The DVD also had the US ending as a bonus. Yes, I liked the original version. It makes the film much more chilling.
  12. I don't know what the US ending is, but the one I saw was not what you'd call a happy ending.
  13. I liked it too. It's from the same director that did the cult horror werewolf movie Dog Soldiers co-starring Rome (HBO) and Trainspotting's Kevin McKidd, which I own on DVD. Dog Soldiers is really good and did very well in the theatres in Britain. Neil Marshall is a director on the rise.
  14. I was being a little facetious since they played sooo many good songs.
  15. AD, with all the voluntary pimping of The Stripes for weeks and you couldn't stay even slightly tipsy for their show. For shame!
  16. That must have been one fantastic night! Love the kilts.
  17. Indeed. And 'Lucy' ran into 'Tim' (Martin Freeman) and his gang by a fence corner at one memorable point.
  18. I loved every second of it. I can't wait to see their "sequel": Hot Fuzz. Anyone not notice The Office cameos/scene? Or how about one character's name was Ash (Evil Dead reference)?
  19. Hey AD, is it Arrested Development? Buy all three seasons. Or, buy the BBC Office and start watching the NBC Office.
  20. Ms Blizzard probably has never walked just a short distance north from The Sun's headquarters on King Street to the "lovely and safe" insections of Jarvis & Shuter, Shuter & Sherbourne, Parliament & Queen, Sherbourne & Jarvis, Sherbourne & Dundas and Parliament & Carleton (the heart of affluent Cabbagetown) at night. But, I do think she saw crack being smoked in Ottawa and was outraged as anyone would. However, going on the attack and not looking at where you live is the height of ignorance, but then again, look at the place that employs her.
  21. Mo Pete's defense and veteran leadership will be missed most of all and his clutch shooting.
