It would be cool if Ottawa could get a Jays A affiliate.

An A team would make sense, but not a AA. That league is almost as important as AAA.

The red shirts made the HD feed look terrible. The red bled into other colours. I'm friends with the VP of programming on TSN and he said the colour caught them off-guard.

I concur with Ms Hux regarding Band Of Brothers. Intense and exciting use of DTS and it rivals or beats any war feature film.

I think another thing you have to know is that not all 5.1 and DTS audio sound better than the original audio track. Movies done in mono will often sound better in mono. You can't always force 5.1 into an original 2-channel stereo movie and make it sound good either. However, all DVD's offer audio options, so you can test the theory yourself.

DTS uses more bits and generally offers better audio, although 5.1 EX is a rival and is just as good. 5.1 is excellent too, but not as explosive and lags a bit with fidelity, especially in older movies.

Do you have a DTS option? DTS is normally better than 5.1, although both use 5 speakers. Anyway, some of the best sounding movies I've ever heard are: The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, extended verions - DTS 6.1 The Kids Are Alright - DTS Led Zeppelin - DTS (the double disc concert release from three years ago) Monterey Pop Criterion Collection - DTS Star Wars - both series are in 5.1 EX Any Pixar movie, particularily Finding Nemo or The Incredibles My Morning Jacket "Okonokos" - 5.1

The nearest station to you that carries the games is: CKST/Team 1040 Vancouver 1040 AM. You could try to stream the games too, but there may be an audio delay. The radio synch is almost identical to the TV audio.

Check the Jays website for their radio affiliates. I know that their games are carried across the country and more than likely on an AM station in Victoria.

I was dumbfounded when Gibbons yanked Halladay in the 8th after 6 hits and 95 pitches, with one out. The only reason why I can see him yanking Roy is that he pitched a 10 inning complete game his last time out, and that Roy threw some intense pitches against a tough Red Sox line-up. Roy said he wasn't tired when he was pulled. BTW, the new "listen" Jays radio broadcasts are excellent thanks to Alan Ashby. Turn the radio on and turn off the volume on the TV, i.e. Campbell.

I don't think the Raps had it worse than the Nets. The Raps lost Garbo and Bargnani, but Jefferson is a bonifide all-star. They also lost Krstic and Eddie House. Sure, Bosh was out for a brief time and Parker and TJ were injured too, but the Nets did well to make it this far with a depleted line-up without the depth of Toronto. Don't get me wrong, I HATE the Nets, but they are a good team. One thing I like about the Garbo injury is that it forced players to play to their capabilities or rediscover their talents, especially Humphries and Graham.

Nah, I just hate the Sedin twins. The Canucks play a hard-hitting brand of hockey that I like.

Boy, this is an entertaining game. The Flames games has a hooking penalty every other minute. This Canucks game is great fun.

The Nets are almost fully healthy and their best players are all healthy. Kidd is a machine and Jefferson will be a huge factor. I hate Carter, but he's playing really well right now.

This series could go either way, but the Nets have me worried. No team wanted to play them in the first round. I hope someone breaks Vince's face.

I'm at work. I'd normally watch both late games, but I'm stuck with regular cable.

But Dave-O, they hit every Pen that moved. Total physical domination. Roberts was the only one hitting on the Pens.

The Ottawa defense was fantastic tonight. All of them played well. Good game and a physically dominant performance all-round.
