  1. Ford is questionable at best for Friday and Calderon has a sprained ankle. They got blown out in Jersey with both guards. What happens now with these two injured?
  2. The Green Plan misleads some Canadian people: i.e., those that want to be mislead for financial purposes and party loyalty. Everyone else knows that Baird is Queen's Commerce fat-head.
  3. BTW, order some fish at the restaurant and/or chowder.
  4. It's on the water in the hamlet. It's the only restaurant in North Rustico. Small in P.E.I. is really small when compared to Ontatio. The restaurant is excellent and you can't miss it. It's on the water down in the bay.
  5. 3. NORTH RUSTICO, PEI Price: $200,000 About 25 minutes from Charlottetown, North Rustico offers two-bedroom cottages on 50 metres of waterfront. I'd say this is two minutes away from where peipunk lives. I've been to the hamlet too and it has an excellent pub/restaurant there.
  6. She just played live on BreakfastTV, and I assume she'll be doing a live performance today live on MuchOnDemand. If you can make it through the non-Feist elements of the show, it should be excellent today. She was really good this morning.
  7. Gutty win. If Ford is done, they are doomed on Friday, especially after what happened with Jose.
  8. The NBA is about 15 years behind the NHL when it comes to foreign players, and the Raptors and Spurs have the most. Euro and South American players are becoming more common, but not like the NHL (minus the SA reference). The different languages spoken on the Raps are: Spanish, English, Italian, Wolof and Slovenian. Also worth noting is that Anthony Parker made his name playing in Europe and was European player of the year last year.
  9. I don't know if you read my review of their last Toronto Amphitheatre show jayr http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/225029/, but I freakin' loved it and am really excited about the July gig. I love the Icky Thump single too.
  10. You start resting starters = coasting in my books. They weren't mentally tough going in the last few regular season nothing games.
  11. I just picked up two GA tickets for Toronto from the Stripes website. I concur that it's amazing they are still available.
  12. Best pitcher in the AL with no slight to Santana intended.
  13. I don't have much sympathy for speeders. Good luck.
  14. Here's to Dave's best years as lead guitarist in the seminal Kingston band Backstairs Influence.
  15. I saw that Picasso painting in Chicago. Man, I turned a corner in the museum and wham, there it was. I was caught totally off-guard.
  16. Really though, the Raptors coasted into the playoffs with three straight losses and have played poorly in every game against the Nets. They got out-coached in last night's game - the Raps defended the paint well, but didn't prepare for the outside shooting. The game before they got smoked in the paint and defended outside ok. Bosh has no help and Moore looks like an allstar instead of a NBADL call-up.
  17. Good luck, but this will sell-out, especially when that great new single gets released wide.
  18. Advance is tomorrow at 10:00 on the Edge 102.1's website and on Friday through HOB and Ticketmaster at 2:00pm. I haven't decided which is the better choice - advance seats can be a hit and miss affair.
  19. This is a France site calle The Take-Away Shows, that gets acoustic and/or impromptu performances from mainly indie artists like The Shins, Arcade Fire, Andrew Bird and The National. Check it out. It's pretty cool: http://www.blogotheque.net/cae_tous_les_concerts_en.php3
  20. The stadium looked great, except for the north end. It's like the architect just gave up. The field looked like grass and the ball didn't roll or bounce unnaturally. Forrest is a pretty good announcer and decent at analysis. I enjoy his strong opinions too.
  21. The guy doing play-by-play, Nigel Reed, is a news announcer on The Fan 590. It was his first game ever and it showed. I think they gave him the job because of his English accent. Still, he can only get better, right?
  22. KevO, High Park/Bloor West Village is one of the most vibrant places to live in the city. Forgo a little time convenience and move to that area. I live in Riverdale and love it there and would only move to a few other areas in the city if I had to and Bloor West is one of them - along with the "Beaches", Leslieville, Roncensvalles and The Annex.
