Wasn't referring to anyone. Just curious as to how many people knew they weren't going to any shows except say, Deer Creek, and still tried for tickets to every show... creating artificial demand etc. Thats obviously different than a) getting tickets and find out there are closer shows that weren't announced or wanting to go to 3 shows but not caring where, trying and getting tickets for more than 3 shows and getting rid of the excess. Just Sunday night musings.

ding ding ding Although, given the way Phish tickets have been, I could maybe see planning on hitting say 3 shows, but requesting tickets for 6 and then deciding to go to the ones I got tickets for, possibly ending up with too many. But ya, its scalping. The bands should really consider making everyone pick up their tickets at the show. Charge an extra $3-$5 per ticket to pay for a much larger will call - a table like the Dead used to have that you could go check and make sure your tickets were real...

Curious - how many people just grabbed tickets for shows they weren't going to see? Seems odd to me, but like people 'round these parts partake.

Going pretty crazy here. There will be lots of tickets for all these shows except maybe MSG I think. And the travel packages will re-enter the system at some point too...

livenation usually just links out to ticketmaster, tickets now or whatever... maybe not always - but thats what the did for the Dead tix.

ps. for anyone else that was fishing, if you're just talking a pair or whatever, I bet a lot of the "consideritdan" packages are going to go unsold and be thrown back in the lake. Probably a couple weeks pre-show.

That Hampton Inn in Albany is .4 miles away and rooms are going for around $100. I'm a priceline guy too - but for that price I just booked. On a map it looks real close.

I had all sorts of problems too. Well, problems as in I was fishing and kept bringing in fish that weren't big enough to eat. Needed to feed a family of 6. Reeled in some row AA and row EE straight shot to the stage but thought I could get a trophy floor fish for 6 people. Ended up side stage row C. Not bad, but not the kind of fish you can stuff and put on the wall. Should have just went for pairs maybe.

Congrats on the front floors! I've been playing around and getting back of the floor a lot, but not floor sectoin 1, 2 or 3. I'll tell ya, this place is going to be empty!

Was playing around to see how quick the good seats went for todays shows. Its after 7pm and the "best available" is giving me rear stage but not upper level. An "upper level" search comes up with 5th row upper. For Charlottesville there are no lowers left and its offering row R uppers. My guess is that means there should be good tickets for everyone thats at least almost on time tomorrow. good luck

The Crown Reserve is nice with ice. Or is it the Crown Select? Its almost a heart shaped bottle, or at least its more narrow than a proper bottle of crown and comes to about $39 at duty free....

I got the email from Dead.net today saying tickets on sale today, tomorrow and sunday depending on the show. It also said Buffalo was a 10am onsale - I think its wrong - tickets.com is saying 9am. Guess they just wanted scalpers to have first shot at the good stuff

Sure is funny seeing them all dressed up.

They'll sound a lot better with their own set up and after 2 weeks of rehearsal. Right?

4 nights, weird thing is Panic is playing the 22nd and 24th. VIP tickets seem fairly reasonable for this one too - $400 instead of $160 but with 6 hot meals and some drinks along with the better camping zone. I've heard great things about this festival...

I'll let it be eventually... for now I'm just trying to get my $100 worth. Talking and complaining about it will eventually numb me to the reality that its the price of admission.
