While I am a big fan of the E Street Band, I think my favorite Springsteen songs are his acoustic ones ... Atlantic City, Highway Patrolman and Youngstown spring most readily to mind.

I got mine at Record Runner ... however, I've found it impossible to find a copy of the Closing Of Winterland

fu©kin' Gambit. Figures I'd be the fruity french guy.
He's not French, he's Cajun. And he's not fruity, he's an assassin.

Apparantly I am Jean Grey ... interesting choice, but I can kind of see it.
You are Jean Grey!
Beautiful and smart, you are still just beginning
to fulfill your potential. You have a strong
sense of right and wrong, but are open to
discussion and changes of opinion.
Unfortunately, when it comes to love you are
often torn between two options, and can never
seem to make up your mind.
Which X-Men character are you most like?

Sweet sweet delectable '77 ... flurk, and I was this close to getting all the way caught up in my DPs. Oh well, here's another sweet one to get in due course. What's the release date?

Jeeze, this is sad news ... among his other credits, this was the man who wrote "Light Up Or Leave Me Alone", a frickin' great song. Vaya con dios, Jim.

Although I don't think it will fit at this stage of the game.
If not, how about ...

I have no way to see it, but am psyched that it is happening. I've seen both of these guys individually (Olson with the Creekdippers, Louris with the Jen Gunderson lineup Jayhawks) but not together. Here's hoping I can run down a copy of the show

One of my favorite performances of his was as the mobbed up brother in law in Crimes & Misdemeanours ... Jerry was a real triple threat, having distinguished careers in stage, screen and TV. Vaya con dios, Jerry.

EDIT: Kill Bill 2 gets a special mention, even though it was released way early. A lot of people slagged this movie for its lack of action, but Michael Madsen and David Carradine *really* make up for it.
It was the second half of a movie ... if people had bothered to check, there was plenty of action in the first half And while Madsen and Carradine were both awesome, I'd like to give mad phat props to Michael Parks for his brilliant and underrated performance as Esteban Hidalgo in Kill Bill 2 (he also played the sherrif in the first movie).

it is a super fab album ... particularly amazing when you consider that Dylan released *5* mind blowing albums in a row (Bringing It Al Back Home-Highway 61-Blonde On Blonde-John Wesley Harding-Nashville Skyline) ,
don't forget the two album before were Times They Are A-Changin and Freewheelin'
Actually , the two before were The Times and Another Side of ... you know, if I were somebody else, I'd probably smack me right now

it is a super fab album ... particularly amazing when you consider that Dylan released *5* mind blowing albums in a row (Bringing It Al Back Home-Highway 61-Blonde On Blonde-John Wesley Harding-Nashville Skyline) , along in the same time span doing the Free Trade Hall/Albert Hall concerts, having the motorcycle crash and recording what would become the Basement Tapes ... kinda puts my life in perspective
While I am at it, super huge thanks to you, Meg, for your help in the big move this weekend, it was really appreciated. I owe you at least a drink

Notorious Byrd Brothers gets the most play around here. I am a big Clarence White fan, so naturally I love Untitled. Younger Than Yesterday has a lot of wonderful songs on it. I worship Gene Clark, so Mr. Tambourine Man gives me my best fix for the Byrds and there are some itches that only Sweetheart Of The Rodeo will scratch.
