  3. amen to that My "watch this" story: Again back in the Mount Allison days, had gotten to the pubearly for pub night and hit the pool table. Had a pretty good game back then, knew that table and it bounces like the back of my hand. Anyway drank and owned the table for hours. Literally hours. No one could dethrone me and the pub started filling up. Soon there was a crowd around the table, lots watching but also because the place was so packed. Anyway my budy comes along and places the obligatory loonie on the table and says,"Make sure you win your next game Dave coz I wanna play you" Then I notice that my next opponent was a lesbian, possibly the only known lesbian on campus (not hot). "Ha!", I reply,"Watch this" That's right, she ran the table on me and called me Big Shooter ever after.
  4. if i lived in TO, especially downtown i'd get season tix- they're pretty cheap and it's a fun way to spend an afternoon i think there's a chance they'll get decent turnouts but hey that's anyone's guess
  5. they gave an 8/9 yr old Del gas!?!? that explains a lot of things actually
  6. hopefully they'll teach you how to spell Mandaring (j/k!) try not to stick out too much bon voyage!
  7. i went to a hockey game while i was at Mt Allison, pissed. in between periods this guys i know was doing the "shoot the puck into a cutout hole in front of the net" promos and got me out there. i missed the net entirely of course and the pocket of friends who were chanting my name bugged me all night for that one not as bad though as the chick at another game who tried the same and split her pants in the process...
  8. atta boy, AM i like the irish whiskeys too, tend to go with the jamesons as a rule i'll be hitting the glenlivet tonight though
  9. good points but there's no way posh was going to live anywhere other than LALA Land "Good luck getting a ticket if LA comes to town. " another good point, this could be the make or break point. Either it'll help the league gain a strong foothold in NA or it'll temporarily create an upsurge after which the interest will once again die out. we'll see i guess
  10. I saw him stop briefly at the back of the stage during one of those BBFCFM laps to take a blast of crack from brad sands so that he could keep running BM is heavily edited

  17. alas i'm just hitting the friday show while crystal goes on sat night sorry to disappoint, michel
  18. sounds like semi-retirement to me what the hell kind of crowds do they get in LA to be able to cover that bill i wonder?!?!
  19. oh i almost forgot a good one- my 7th grade teacher was the volleyball team coach. i never liked volleyball much but after gym class one day the teacher ("Penguie") pulled me aside and lectured me for not trying out for the school team. So, feeling guilty, i go to the next tryout and the fucking prick cuts me! for the best in the end but what an asshole!
  20. For some there may be a multitude of memories to share or just a few. I'll give up a couple here 1. PLaying for the HS soccer team, usually there was hardly anyone watching our games but for this particular game the track team was practising and just about to run around the track encircling the field. As they approached I was making a run down the right flank looking to cross the ball, I wound up to hit it, right in front of all these people, the facking ball hit a bump in the pitch & popped up. I missed the ball completely and the whole track team laughed. Not too bad but I felt like a tool. 2. This is a bit better- I reffed a fair bit when i was 17-18, was good for pocket money and whatnot. Well anyway a friend's folks were away one day during the summer so we made up some lemonade spiked with vodka and sat around his pool getting sloshed. I'm not sure how it happened but i realised that i had a game to ref a few hours into it, raced home, picked up the ref shirt and went to the field, got there late and was totalled, running around the pitch, making jokes, making up rules, blew for illegal defence more than once. fucked off right after that game before any coaches or anyone could confront me. oh yes and it was a girls league game i'd been officiating and i ended up dating one of the girls later on, giggedy giggedy there must be a million stories out there that can top these...
  21. When Jerry Garcia called them the druggiest band in rock'n'roll my interest was piqued for about 2 days I think I still have a 45 of them doing Come Together somewhere but it was one of my least played bits of vinyl
