Christine got this one but I've taken it over: At first I was, meh... Canadian Living. But I've been cooking from it for the last week thanks to its great layout and an ingredient set that travels well between recipes... meaning I can try a lot of different things without having to go out to get that one extra ingredient each time. It's great for the basics and introducing new cooking techniques in a friendly manner.

We got an e-mail just before 11 this morning... "The doors will be locked at 1 PM. Merry Christmas!" Everyone pretty much left soon thereafter. That gave me time to get my shopping done and now I raise my first toast of Christmas Eve to my fellow skanks everywhere! Cheers!
