    PHISH

Question for you MarcO...do you still regularly listen to the Dead? I ask because I find I am in the same boat as you when it comes to Phish...with the exception of the occasional binge, I rarely put on Phish anymore, BUT there hasn't been a week since 1990 when I haven't put on the Grateful Dead...don't really know why that is...although the Dead certainly had a greater impact on me, I loved every minute of Phish between 1995 and well, whenever they "broke up". They certainly had the ability to make me very happy and even got me to dance... If they got back together again I would definitly give them another chance...
  2. Ahh well...I had front row centre last time, so I can't complain...besides I'll have more room to dance in the balcony
  3. Anybody else get presales? The best I could get with Friendsfirst was 2nd row balcony a little to the left...apparently the first like 10-15 rows went to Wilco presale...anybody score some of those? Not too disappointed though...just glad I got decent seats...
  4. Pre-Sale tix onsale in 10 minutes for those who are interested...
  5. Check again...it's up now...friendsfirst presale tomorrow...
  6. I do prefer to sit down, but if someone like Northern Wish wants to dance in front of me I am OK with that too. That's usually when I stand up and tap my foot...maybe even shake my ass a little.

  8. Were you mad because people were or were not dancing? I confuse easily... BTW I was making a reference to Jeff Tweedy basically calling the Toronto audience out for not dancing at the last show (he called us motherfuckers, for which he apologised later). It really had me laughing my ass off... Personally I am not a big dancer...I will stand and tap my foot with the best of them though!
  9. I just hope they don't play Walken
  10. Nice...on a Saturday too. I will be there. Massey Hall is a fantastic venue for this band...and I guess we better dance this time...after all it is a ROCK show

    New Wilco

I picked this up when AD first posted (thanks BTW...sometimes threads here disappear way to quickly). I have listened to it quite a lot and it still hasn't really hooked me yet. I really love Impossible Germany (love the guitar work at the end) and What Light, but the rest of the album is just OK for me so far. I like the vibe (if that's vague enough for you ), but it just hasn't kicked my ass yet...and I really dislike Walken...saw it in concert and remembered not really liking it then either. I think it will grow on me...and maybe I really like What Light and Impossible Germany because I have had live versions for a few months. I really likely the "sparsness" of this album...not as much of the sound collages from the past couple of albums...
  19. That was a fun show...we lined up early and a friend was let in by "mistake" and got us a spot in front of the big guy. It was pretty cold, so I can't remember if there was much of a lot scene, but we went down in the coolest van (I think an early model econoline) covered in dancing bears and stealies...got tons of attention from everyone walking by. I wish I remembered the name of the girl who owned that van...very very cool person.
  20. Thanks so much for that...I have been trying to get a hold of the only Jerry band show I was at for years (11.20.91, Rochester). Cheers!
  21. ilife is fine for most basic things, but if you use Office products on a regular basis (I don't), Office is probably a good purchase. I happen to love Safari, but you can get Firefox for mac as AD said.
