  1. Rod Stewart is playing the next night...at the Amphitheatre at least...
  2. I don't know how the hell you guys managed 4 tickets! I couldn't even get anything better than 400 for 2. I opted for lawns instead...half the price and at least I can decide where I want to sit. I will try again tomorrow though...maybe my luck will be better!
  3. those passwords are impossible to crack! thanks man! What? The album is "In Rainbows"...a space between words and an "s" on the end...nobody's going to figure that out! Thanks Basher...school got in the way of the waste presale...no class tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll score some half decent seats!
  4. its been closed for over a day now. over at "at ease web" they are figuring it is in anticipation for the sales today...fyi last leg tickets at waste went on sale around 8:50 (EST), but in the past have gone on sale at 6 am and even earlier i think...who knows...I hope something happens before i head to school!
  5. According to Radiohead.com: Tickets for Toronto (and Montreal and Vancouver for that matter) will be on sale on April 9 (this is the waste pre-sale)...from what I can gather the time is not announced beforehand...they will just be on sale at some point. According to Ticketmaster.ca: Tickets for Toronto will be on sale on Saturday at 10 am. There will also be an "Edge" pre-sale (which I assume is for 102.1 the edge members) on Friday at 10 am. fyi tickets are 35.50 - 69.50 for Toronto...
  6. Anybody have experience ordering tix from w.a.s.t.e.? Reading up on it on the at ease website is not helping...do they just randomly pick a time for presales or what??
  7. I have also heard that they will be playing at the John Labatt Centre in London (form someone who works there)...not sure if Ryan Adams will be there, but I would assume so.
  8. Tickets for Kitchener go on sale tomorrow at noon: Centre in the Sqaure No idea what the prices are for it though
  9. Wow, I didn't get TO tickets simply because I don't have the money, but the Kitchener show is on my birthday and literally 5 minutes from my house...I think I was meant to go...and the Centre in the Square is pretty famous for its acoustics. I think this may be a hard ticket though...i believe the Centre's capacity is around 2000.
  10. I've thought about watching this movie several times...but the cast always scared me away...maybe I will give it a try though.
  11. You can download them here...not sure of the quality...I'm downloading them myself right now: http://www.sendspace.com/file/o2z6n1 http://www.sendspace.com/file/0oars1
  12. I enjoyed this show quite a bit...probably would have gone up to a 4 myself, but I am unabashedly in love with Margo Timmins (basically since I was 16 years old...after hearing The Trinity Sessions for the first time...an album my Mom bought for herself that ended up in my collection somehow). When I wasn't staring at Margo though I was transfixed by Michael...wow, simply a wonderful musician.
  13. Yep..got an official email from Massey Hall. No Ryan Adams. Can't say I'm not bummed, but I had tickets before he was announced and I am still very excited. Trinity Sessions is still one of my favorite albums of all time, and I looking forward to seeing it performed live at Massey Hall. See y'all there!
  14. What he said ^^ If I recall correctly though he does sing the entire "200 more miles" on the "Trinity Sessions Revisited" album...most of it anyway...that being said I'd love to see you on Saturday Russ!
  15. Dude I know what your saying...just got the album on Monday and I haven't stopped listening to it probably listened to it 30 times or more...I wish I had heard of them last week and had time to get tickets/go to the show...
  16. yeah that makes sense why the "g" are so much cheaper...I'm still up on the air for this one...for general browsing I don't think you can go wrong for $40...
  17. Nice...thanks for the help guys...much appreciated!
  18. So I'm running an older emac in my home office and I also have a new MacBook that I want to be able to take wherever I happen to be in the house. We have highspeed DSL. I am completely ignorant when it comes to wireless networking. What should I be looking for with a wireless router? I will essentially be using the laptop for web browsing and email when I'm at home and won't need to be doing any downloading, so can i go to Futureshop and get whatevers on sale? there is a Belkin one that is 54 mbps (802.11g) for 39.95...will that be OK? Also can i plug the router into any phone line in the house and still keep the emac plugged into the modem? As i said i don't even know where to start... thanks!
  19. I'll be there in the 1st row a little shy of centre...When i bought the tickets it only said "with special guests" of course I hoped beyond hope it would be Ryan, but I was really pleased to find out he was coming. I absolutely love the cd/dvd package...he does a wonderful version of 200 more miles and some great backing vocals...
  20. I think BradM mentioned this in another thread about Oscar Peterson, but its worth mentioning again because: A) its free its at Roy Thomson Hall C) Herbie Hancock will be playing Unfortunately I can't make it to Toronto this weekend, but those of you close by are in for a treat...(well if you can plug your ears during the Valerie Pringle parts...) 21. Ahhh I was wondering where the got my email address...seeing as I couldn't write a song to save my life... Jaydawg love your avatar...brings back memories...
  22. What she said ^^ I just went back to school for Public Relations (at Conestoga) this year and I'm a little older than you (maybe a lot). I'm still kinda getting used to it, but so far have been loving it (it helps that PR is female dominated...I'm one of only 4 guys in my program). Grades are pretty good (middle of mid-terms right now), mostly because I want to do well and like all of my classes. There are lots of opportunity's for advertising executive's...but do what Brad said and research your field to make sure there is entry level stuff you think you could stomach for a few years until you get your big break!
  23. Wow I had a great time last night...first time seeing Ryan and I was not disapointed...took my parents too and they had tons of fun. Like so many people in this thread have already said, I was totally blown away by his voice...anyway looking forward to your recording Weirdness (I assume thats what you ment by us being able to hear it soon!).
