In your riding even if you added the Liberal, NDP & Green votes together it would not have beat the Conservative.

I actually said someone like Bob Rae, didn't say Rae specifically. The liberals need someone who can energize, Dion was not that person obviously. Yes our system sucks and until we have some sort of proportional representation things probably wont change.

I think to blame the Conservative Minority on the Greens is a bit much as well. But then this is politics and we will not be able to come to an agreement on this. Perhaps had the liberals had someone like Bob Rae leading the ticket they would have had a better showing and we wouldn't be blaming the Greens for stealing the election away like people blamed Nader in the USA.

That was a stupid move on her part. Green's infuriate you but that doesn't mean they infuriate everybody. Perhaps some people believe they want something different. At least the Green's are a true national party that runs candidates in every riding. Perhaps some are tired of what is our basically 2 party system. Really the only true way this country can work is based on some sort of representational government. In our riding the Green Candidate came in a solid second with 27% of the vote. That may piss you off but I think its great that there are that many people in our area who are looking for something different. Politics is fun isn't it.

Yes we did vote for a more representative government during the last election, it was a referendum vote that did not make it through. Too bad IMHO.

I don't see what Mac computers have anything to do with SP3. I assume you are talking about XP SP3 here. I run XP SP3 on my PC at work with no problems. Mind you this machine is ancient, PIII 450 lol, and isn't doing any real taxing things.

There's a sale at Dell everyday. They are pretty sneaky there, you can often build the same computer for slightly cheaper than their so called advertised sale price. Take your time on the Dell site and check out all the different side bars, also look in their Small Business side of the site as there are often different deals there as well. Just don't jump in to purchase right away you can probly save some pennies somewhere.

The only thing I am going to say about buying a Mac laptop over a Windows based laptop is that you do not need to worry about running Spyware / Anti Virus software on it. I have been running Macs at home since 2001 and have never had to worry about virus / spyware. In fact we just gave my inlaw our old G4 iMac as it was still a perfectly functioning Internet light duty machine 7 years later. Yes you pay more up front but I think it pays off in the long run.
