She technically lives in Leroy.

I thought the title was more ironic than anything else...I didn't find it incredibl at ALL. A passably entertaining 2-star movie, imo.
I did, however, love The Iron Giant. That's a beautiful film!

Neil Young-Powderfinger, Mansion on the Hill, Rockin' in the Free World
Cowboy Junkies-The Anniversary Song
Leonard Cohen-Hallelujah
The Pursuit of Happiness-Man's Best Friend
Skydiggers-Slow Burnin' Fire, Dear Henry, I'll Be Home, 80 Odd Hours (I could go on...)
Crash Vegas-Smoke
Blue Rodeo-Western Skies, Fools Like You
Triumph-Don't Love Anybody Else But Me (cheesy, I know, but it brings back happy memories of the 80s...)

Have a great day, M!
We're all so happy you were born!
-
Since I sent out a humorous email to select co-workers requesting their support, I can't even begin to tell you how many people have come back and said they have a close friend or relative with MS...
-
That's sweet
Maybe we can walk together!
Sounds good!
I just hit up a bunch of co-workers and they're being very generous. Yay! ::
-
I am also doing this walk...one of my best friends is living with MS.
So feel free to sponsor me, too, if you can!

Some guy (with a sign) standing by the side of the road after Phil & Friends at Vibes '02:
"Breast Exams--1 dollar! Ladies, get yer breast exams--1 dollar!
[big pause, no takers]
C'mon--it's only a fu©king dollar!!"
-
I love it. It's much more soothing and inviting. I predict increased posting as a result.
The forecast also calls for flurries of passion and extended periods of gettin' it on.
Film @ 11.

I'm very sorry I was unable to make it. My cold was unmanageable. I went through almost 2 full boxes of Kleenex in 32 hours. Snot-tastic!
Good to hear y'all had a blast!!

It's is 11 minutes into Jaimoe's birthday and no one has posted a birthday thread yet...lazy bastards!
Happy birthday, Dave! Hope it's fantastic!
Love,
Julia
P.S. I am currently at Jaimoe's house with Jaimoe, the almost-Mrs-Jaimoe, booche, Douglas, PassedOutGuy & Basher. Good times!

Many, many congratulations and best wishes. You 2 do good work!

In a statement that is bound to offend christians, I have this to say:
Not to entirely discount the potential existence of god/gods, but there's a whole lot more hard evidence as to the reality of evolution than there is a universe created by an all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful male god. How does that compute? It's baffling to me.
-
Even if you do believe in evolution - don't go see the film. I saw it a few weeks ago, and it was probably the worst imax movie i've seen. It's kind of like the type of movie they are making fun of in The Life Aquatic.
LOL
That's a whole other discussion... ::

ENT Volcano Movie
CHARLESTON, South Carolina -- Some movie theatres are pulling the
plug on a film about volcanoes, fearing it might offend people who
don't believe in evolution.
The IMAX production called ``Volcanoes of the Deep Sea'' makes a
connection between microbes found in undersea volcanoes and human
D-N-A.
The distributor says the theatres that have decided not to run it
are in Texas, Georgia and the Carolinas.
The director of a theatre in Charleston reasons that, ``Many
people here believe in creationism, not evolution.''
An official of the California Science Center fears the box-office
ban could have a chilling effect on other science productions.
He's afraid directors will drop all reference to evolution.

You're not hallucinating*. Scroll down a bit on this and you'll find info on the show.
Aloha,
Brad
* Well, at least your memory of this show isn't a hallucination...
Oh my goodness, that's awesome! Thanks Brad! I actually conducted an internet search a couple of years ago to see if I could locate info about that show with no luck.
As for the hallucinations, I think I'm okay. But I'd be better if everyone around me would stop melting.

Does anyone remember a show (probably on the CBC) called "Pencil Box"? It was on after school in the 70s (probably '77 or so) and I remember loving it! I have never met another person who remembers this show so I'm wondering if perhaps it is simply a very vivid, repetitive hallucination.

Dude, I haven't even started charging for my editing services, what have you got to lose by at least running these things by me??

"I'm going to kiss you on the lips."
He's bringing me some dvd's, what do you expect?
You're right. "Thank you" wouldn't be enough, a rim job would be too much. A kiss on the lips? Well that's just the goldilocks' porridge of gratitude..juuuuuust right!
-
I would hope that Douglas gets a fair share...if not, you gotta hope she's gettin' some good lovin' at least.
Douglas, FYI, Booche had this to say to Basher: "I'm going to kiss you on the lips."
Promise? Threat? Unfulfilled fantasy?

NewRider - Stoned Phillips is indeed coming. We are going to Cleveland the next night too.
MoMack - I really want to go to the Rock and Roll HOF on Saturday. We are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott near the Renaissance Center.
We're staying at the Marriott in Detroit, not Cleveland.

Heidi, did you pre-register? I was away on Thursday and could not. I am going to go on Saturday afternoon, I think, to do so.
Hopefully I'll see you Sunday!
