  1. Seems like Cito managed to get them swingin'.
  2. Thanks, I'll try to find the cbc in Montreal before we go see Jamaica to Toronto at the Jazz fest. More classics. Oh yeah and U-Roy on monday...
  3. O'neal could be active as acentre beside Bosh but I prefer the idea of Diaw... cheaper and more reliable.
  4. Spain looked shaky on offence for the whole match... we'll see if they can get past this surging Russian team even though they seemed to be tourney favorites before this past one against Italy.
  5. where? I'm no insider and I'm no internet wiz either, not to mention I live in basketball black hole London. If you check the trade machine that Poppa posted that's where I was taking my heads up from. It's not so updated.
  6. I don't think that Delfino, Brezec and a few others can move until after the season starts so I dunno if they'll go that quickly.
  7. Gonna be a test for whoever gets through todays match (Spain v. Italy) against a surging Russian team that seems to be able to score on anyone. I thought Ned would have put out a better effort on defence against the Rukies. Like I said before though... Deutschland uber alles.
  8. We totally wasted Brezec and his fouls against Howard and the magic, that was dumb.
  9. schwa... that's fuggin killer PS. abandon underwear and risk the zip... I bet you wouldn't if it ever happened to you.
  10. I guess the New York Football giants would have preferred if the Patriot's were simply disqualified and they didn't have to play the superbowl to get the trophy? Meaningless.
  11. Fair enough Basher, like I said BC's smarter than me. Onward, Rasho is a good luck charm, I hope they can keep him for depth. As much as I like AP I don't think he's atop shelf defender and I would love to see a guy like Raja Bell, or even Cuttino Mobley who moves more without the ball iuf we're trading off on defensive ability. Bosh is so stationary that we need the perimiter mobility that we lost when Mo Pete left. I still like Okur as a big man that might be attainable but I just don't see any reason to hang on to Bargs when he still has trade value and we've got a glut of power forwards who can't really compete with all-stars at the centre or the small forward position (Humph, Bargs, Graham, Bosh, Baston etc) That said the Garbo buyout leaves a lot of room for trades that could aquire both the size and the talent this off-season. Detroit, Phoenix, Dallas and Denver all seem to need shakups, could be surprising who moves this year after the success of Boston's trades.
  12. He knows more than I do for sure but it seems awkward to let so many players walk away with money without producing anything but space. That said he's improved the team and the franchise itself quite a bit in the past little while so I'm interested to see what he can make of it.
  13. The Tim Duncan sports philosophy... easier is better. Maybe that's why I dislike diving. You might win but no one will be cheering.
  14. I think the Celtics have a shot because they want to be legends and they can taste it. I also think they're head and shoulders above next years pistons (sadly) because I'm sure they'll have a different lineup next season. Pierce is a soldier, he got stabbed in the eye. Allen is badass, Cassell is old, PJ is old. Lakers have shot for sure to my regret.
  15. You're right about the dough however, What I'm saying is that he's got one year left and he's going to be playing somewhere else (Spain) and we're going to pay him to do it. Why not let him try one more time and pay him to work? I still think he's got mad talent and I want him to succeed in the NBA. Why abandon the possibility? Plus Barg's is shifty without him, check his stats while G was on the floor, much better and he was much more aggressive with the big around. They also make a better package for trading than B does alone or with TJ, (IM[notalwaysso]HO). I just rue the way that players control the league through fear and cowardice, both their own and the owner's and fans. Seems to me the opposite of the attitude that got the Celtics the championship. I think he's packing it in and I think that's lame.
  16. Real competitors would rather play agianst real competition, a title means nothing if you beat the worst team available to get it.
  17. Scratch that Garbo comment... he's going back to Spain and we get to... wait for it... To pay out his 4.6 mil contract, sweet, eh? I guess it leaves some cap space but no capital to trade with again. Question; Why do the Raptors continually allow players to not produce and then fuck off and then pay them out? Who signs these retarded contracts cause it's holding the team back?
  18. I'm very happy that this year the refs didn't have to decide the winner... heart baby, it's heart and sacrifice that get's the job done right. BIG TUNE!!! KG, PP, RA PJB and SC
  19. http://www.awooga.org/images/8b47ilwa02yrnhb431xa.jpg Deutschland uber alles...
  20. Go Celtics... Lesley and I were too busy talking about it for me to bring it up on here, but here goes... Kobe is a bitch... a whining bitch... he's alos the most proficient basketball player since Pistol Pete Maravich, but I still hate him. I love Garnett's intensity, Allen's attitude and Pierce, Paul fucking Pierce is the MAN after this game last night... soon... Goodbye Phil Jackson... coach most likely to be handed a championship team, fail in his duties and be heralded as a genius. I'm tired of the Yankees and ManU as well but this is a basketball thread.
  21. Garbajosa is still kinda unproven vs. williams all-star status so I'd say so but I still kinda like Calderon as a two guard so it might work... and don't take it personal, we're all geeks and we all know it
  22. Add Garbajosa for Deron Williams... is that a little better?
