TimmyB
Also again, here is my shorter but still sober review of the Allman Brothers Band at bonnaroo 6/10/2005http://www.jambands.ca/sanctuary/showtopic.php?tid/223957/Tim
deranger
I wonder how moe. can play the same 4 chord songs over and over, with no changes in the same song for 30 minutes and not get bored. Those guitar players sure can pick a string though.
TimmyB
I wonder how moe. can play the same 4 chord songs over and over, with no changes in the same song for 30 minutes and not get bored. Those guitar players sure can pick a string though. That sounds like a question that can be asked of a lot of jambands.Though I don't know if I would ask that question of moe.? Who are one of the few jambands that I actually enjoy the most of their body of work.Tim
deranger
True, but at least other jambands would put crazy things like "changes" in their songs. Sorry moe. fans I just can't help it.
secondtube
i agree, but keep my moe opinions to myself...
gentlemonkey
Their long peaks and valley jams turn off a lot of people, i'm sure.. they do have a lot of great changes and shifts in the music, but i guess it gets overshadowed by the 'widdly widdly widdly wee weee wee weeeeee' sometimes. Thorgnor
Cornflake girl sounded horrible at the back of the amph. All bassheavy warbles and drones. Maybe that was the ... Best first ABB show EVER!!!!!!!!! Edited August 19, 2005 by Guest

Jaimoe
I must say upon further reflection, that the Allmans/Moe. show had the worst audio I've ever experienced at that particular venue - DMB two years ago is a close second. I had to look at the large video display screens too many times to actually see what notes Derek was playing. His guitar in particular was buried and/or muddy for the entire night. Jaimoe
200 level, K section - right hand corner side looking towards the stage. I could hear Chuck, Jack and Greg ( vocals ) perfect, but the rest was suspect.
