dave-O Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 Are we really going to spy on all the other divisions as the draft takes place?
badams Posted September 1, 2005 Author Report Posted September 1, 2005 I figure I will post something after each round. There is nothing to be secretive about.
M.O.B.E Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 are we goin player by player or can we send in our list???
badams Posted September 1, 2005 Author Report Posted September 1, 2005 we are going player by player - you will be receiving emails from the people in your group.
dave-O Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 There is nothing to be secretive about. But the other guys in my division are dumb dumbs. I don't want you smarty-pants' in other divisions smartening them up.
Guest Low Roller Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 I think it will be interesting to study the evolution of the picks of the various divisions. By posting them in progress we might spoil the experiment, and dilute any sort of uniqueness between divisions. And what Dave-O said.I say we don't post divisional results until they are all done.
badams Posted September 1, 2005 Author Report Posted September 1, 2005 OK im good with that. What I will do is send each division updated emails of their picks. I can see it being confusing with so many emails coming in and out. So only people within the same division will see the progress of their draft.
dave-O Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 I was actually joking, but yeah Roller makes a good point. This will be fun to see.
badams Posted September 2, 2005 Author Report Posted September 2, 2005 3 of the leagues are nicely under way. I think I;ve got this wrapped up already
dogatthestation Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Damn it this Dave Andrews character comes in at the last second, begs to be let into the pool, ends up with the number 1 pick and fucking disappears!
Booche Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 That's the same way he used to party with us. He'ld be the last to show up, drink all our beer, smoke all our nugs, eat whatever food he could find, bum 40 bucks and be off to Stages before any of us knew what happened.
dave-O Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 The Patrick division is waiting on this Pheasant plucker fellow. I'm pretty sure AD and I already scared him off with our trash talk.
dogatthestation Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 I am just throwing this out there for debate. I think it has been decided not to show round by round results so as not to influence people in the other devisions. However, that means that badams who is both in the pool an the moderator is the only person who actually has access to all that info. Now that beeing said I completely trust badams and understand that his fantasy league skills are far beyond any of ours, but maybe it should be discussed?
badams Posted September 2, 2005 Author Report Posted September 2, 2005 You Adams Division guys have too much time on your hands. Just get your draft started Seriously though. Since we only have 6 teams per division and we are only picking 10 players. All the teams in all the divisions are going to be competitive. I personally think we should allow everyone to see all the picks. I take part in probably 100 or so live fantasy drafts every year and not one is done in private. Now I understand that this is a little different with divisions and all, however I think we will notice that most picks will follow the NHL scoring from last season. Sure there will be a few sleepers here and there but not enough to spoil the integrity of the league. Another reason for updates is so that the players can see who has already been selected easily. Instead of having to go back through a bunch of emails amd searching or keeping track themselves. You guys decide - Heck i'm questioning my first pick now. I may have been swayed by the other divisions
Booche Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 " Now that beeing said I completely trust badams and understand that his fantasy league skills are far beyond any of ours, but maybe it should be discussed?"I've debated it (keep in mind, I am in his grouping) with DaveO and the way we see it is this:He has entered something like 30 other pools, so he knows of all the sleepers. Nothing is going to surprise him. None of us hippies are going to throw him a curveball that he could use, I guarantee it.
SevenSeasJim Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Sure there will be a few sleepers here and there Lindros is a sleeper, right??
badams Posted September 2, 2005 Author Report Posted September 2, 2005 And Booche you predicted my first pick. So I question your ESP powers. I want you tested and disqualified if the are found to be true.
badams Posted September 2, 2005 Author Report Posted September 2, 2005 Sure there will be a few sleepers here and there Lindros is a sleeper' date=' right?? [/quote'] He will be once he gets knocked out for having his head down again

badams Posted September 2, 2005 Author Report Posted September 2, 2005 HEY the Adams division just got it going. All four are now drafting.
