MoMack
Anyone know where that list of the top dead shows ever is? I thought I added it to favs and its not there.... I need to get a few new shows and that seems like a place to start....
\/\/illy
It would be completely subjective so how could such a list have any merit?I've used the 'Most Downloaded Shows' area on archive.org as a sort of list before. You could give that a try.
MoMack
There was a link posted here to a bunch of lists - through deadbase maybe - ya its subjective, but I bet most of its not far off....

Dr_Evil_Mouse
I don't think I'll ever get tired of 18-08-89 (I'm sure I've posted on that one a dozen times by now, you'd think it was the only show I ever listened to).
lickthecoil
http://amindlessmind.blogspot.com/Got this link from PT board. It's an opinion based list of the top 100 shows outside of the "usual suspects"; ie. 1977/5/8, etc. There are direct links to the shows on archive. Sorry about my linking skills. Palms
stop fuckin around hippies...4/5/69Someone else mentioned previously how they thought this show was great. I was surprised, especially after checking the Deadhead's Taping Compendium, which called it the worst show on 1969. I'm pretty open minded though, so I downloaded mp3s of it and had it in my iPod for a little bit, but I have to say this is not a great show. While there are brief glimpes of brilliance (a very nice dark star), the first set is like a harbinger of things to come in the 1980s, length-wise. The second set starts off brutally as well, as they completely muck up Hard To Handle and Cosmic Charlie. The rest of the set was better -- I can't comment if it was the worst show of 1969 because I haven't heard them all, but honestly it sure pales next to that FIllmore run from 2/27 to 3/2 that the Dead are officially releasing in a few months. Esau
Well,I certianly wouldn't call it the best of '69 either, hence why I didn't,but I like it alot for numerous reasons so I recommended it, but to each their own I guess, obviously.[edit to add]the Deadhead's Taping CompendiumTruthfully,in my opinion,if I went by that rag,I wouldn't ever hear some of the gold thats out there.Personally I take stock in my own listening over anyone elses.
