Del
What I'm getting at is, who cares? Do you think you're somehow better than someone who has seen less shows? Obviously, since you put "dickwaving" in the title of your thread... Lameness at it's finest...

The Chameleon
Cool I agree. Now does anyone actually want to post what shows they've seen? I thought it'd be intersting to see what bands people on the board are passionate about.
StoneMtn
I would love to participate, and don't think this is a "gay thread" at all (whatever that means), but how in the world would anyone know this? In 20-something years of concert-going, including touring with some bands, I couldn't even hazard a guess. I must have seen 500 to 700 shows (by "premiere" bands). I can probably say I've seen the Grateful Dead about 30 times, and Phish more than that, but beyond that ... I couldn't even begin to break it down.(I probably should have saved some ticket-stubs.) bradm
I haven't kept a list. In 2003, though, I actually inventoried what I went to, and it turned out that I had had 125 days with shows; that's not 125 bands, as a lot of those days has multiple bands; about 35 of those days were also open jam nights, at which I played, too. Most of the shows were club gigs, but I did see Phish about 12 times that year. My next project is to create a database/inventory of the shows I've recorded. When I get that done, I'll wave it around at ya. Aloha, Brad

The Chameleon
I'm curious if there's a female equivalent to "dick-waving"?How 'bout "Snatch Swinging" or "Pussy Parading".Either way your welcome to flaunt your tour prowess. Post the shows you've seen. The female perspective is appriciated.

deranger
does anyone even keep their ticket stubs anymore? I prefer the memories, not keeping score as a thinly veiled competition. The only show I went to that I brag about was Pink Floyd Division Bell tour at the CNE. My top shows were Floyd, Radiohead, Roger Waters and my first Allmans and first Crowes. phorbesie
does anyone even keep their ticket stubs anymore? I prefer the memories, not keeping score as a thinly veiled competition. i don't see how keeping your stubs means you don't have the memories. some people like collecting things. i sure wish i hadn't carelessly thrown away my stub from my first dead show. at least i do have the memories though it's true that a lot of people have always 'kept score' about shows. oh well.... The Chameleon
I guess I'm one of the score keepers. I keep all my stubs and have a book where I write down every setlist I've seen. I do it so I can look back and have a cue to jog my memory. Once again this is not a competition, just a post for fun I wrote at work while I was bored.
PalacePrincess
pussy parading snatch swingers would be a great name for a band.you even get the cool acronym of ppssi've seen ween 6 times. but if it makes me cooler or better than everyone, only two of those times were in canada (on the same day), and i usually travel 8 hours or more to see them, so obviously i am completely hardcore. plus i met them. and touched them. and have their autographs. on multiple items. and i got my picture taken with them.so i win, all of you lose!that's the only big name band i've seen more than twice.so that's really all i have to say on this matter.except that tom jones does indeed kick ass.and i really want to see these guys on tour. *glow!*http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3117004324521250241&q=marimba
