badams
That should just not happen.Gerber played brilliantly and Canada played uninspired until the 3rd.Hopefully this is a wake up call for the team.
Freak By Night
Stay tuned for a quivering-lipped Gretzky attempting to channel Phil Esposito.
Cosmic ChrisC
I've seen Gerber do that to the Sens.Canada did score twice though -- the one on the early whistle and the one that Gerber gloved behind the goal line.
Guest Low Roller
At least now I'm not too upset that BBC Online didn't broadcast the game. Has Canada played good at any point so far? NOPE.They struggled against the Italians, and the German game was barely better.I hope they pick it up tomorrow.Go Canada Go!

badams
Still not worried at this point. Remember in 2002...We lost to the Swedes 5-2 then barely beat the Germans 3-2 and then tied the Czechs 3-3 in the preliminary round. It's all about the medal round and whether we finish 1st or 4th in our division the crossover game is going to be tough.
Freak By Night
I ain't worried about Canada's chances at this point. We'll see what happens against Finland tomorrow. If Gerber keeps playing like that, Carolina has the Stanley cup sewn up this year.

badams
I hate Pat Quinn. I personally don't think he brings much to the team.
Jaimoe
You can blame the coach all you want, but the players have been terrible.

badams
I don't blame Quinn, I just hate him and think he's overrated The team is playing poorly as a whole. Can't afford a stinker like this in the medal round.
Hal Johnson
All the sports media guys love Quinn. They say that, although he's never won anything , he makes the Leafs play above their potential. I think he's proving his ass-kissers wrong right now. Anyone outside of Toronto ever listen to Howard Berger defend him? Makes me want to throw-up.
