Anyone else catch this? Neil was in fine form last night, seemed really cheerful and happy, not that I expected sullen or depressed Neil.

He talked about the new movie, which I still haven't seen, and general performance stuff. Jon asked him some good questions and the interview went well. No performance, which would have been nice, but it was good to see and hear Neil in such high spirits.

Yeah I thought Neil looked really comfortable and had fun with it. As for the movie, if you like Neil go see it. The first hour or so is all from his new album then he gets into the older stuff. Very intimate great sound, good stories as well. My fav song in it is a song written about Hank Williams guitar that he uses, awesome....

Thanks for the heads up, I was out playing poker and could have very well missed the later showings of the Daily Show if I didn't see this thread.

The film 'Heart of Gold' is fantastic and I was planning on writing a review of it, but have been busy moving.

Jon Stewart treated Neil Young with the same reverence he treated President Jimmy Carter, Stewart is all class even when joking.

I'd love to see the Carter on Jon Stewart show. Carter will go down with way more class than Clinton, I think, in the long run. Hell, even King of the Hill rolled out the red carpet for him. Pity about that damned Playboy interview; it might have spared the planet the whole Reagan/Bush legacy. Next time you have pornographic thoughts in public, people, keep'em to yourself.

Hehe, it was very funny...

I especially liked the part with Colbert after where Colbert asked for Neil to "say hi to Crosby and Nash, but not Stills... definately not Stills", and also Colberts interpretation of 'Ohio'.

And Neil Apologizing to his current dog if he was watching for saying "King/Elvis" was the (his) best dog of all time... that shit made me smile.

You know what I loved about this interview? Only a couple days before Stewart was in Hollywood rubbing shoulders with every celebrity imaginable, but he seems genuinely thrilled to be speaking with Neil Young. He's obviously a fan. I'm really glad that they designated more time to this interview than they normally do.
