Davey Boy 2.0
::lines up at bookstore::Wayne Rooney's lawyers are reportedly investigating claims that a soon-to-be-published book on the striker probes his 'rough sex' past with prostitutes. The Sun claims that Rooney is 'facing a new legal row' after lawyers were called in following promises that the book, tactfully titled 'Roo Unzipped', would 'blow the lid on his seedy past of "rough sex" with vice girls.' 'Author John Sweeney has quizzed hookers about Wayne, 21, who slept with a 48-year-old known as the Auld Slapper at a brothel in 2005.' The book is due to be released in September. M.O.B.E
PROMOTED FC UNITED PLAN DONATIONPosted 24/04/07 11:03EmailPrintSave Rebel club FC United will hand over a £3,000 donation to the George Best Foundation prior to being crowned North West Counties League champions on Saturday. Best's sister Barbara McNally will be at Gigg Lane to receive the cheque ahead of the club's final home game of the season against Formby. After a brief mid-season wobble, FC United eventually secured promotion to UniBond League Division One with something to spare. Once again, the club, formed by fans opposed to Malcolm Glazer's takeover of Manchester United, recorded staggering attendance figures. Average gates hovered around the 3,000 mark, which will make them favourites to achieve a third successive promotion next season that will leave them just three divisions below the Football League. M.O.B.E
Should be fun for a Reserve game. Pre-match: Manchester United make eight changes from the side which beat rivals City with Wes Brown, Gabriel Heinze and Alan Smith the only survivors. Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Edwin van der Sar, and Paul Scholes are on the bench - but the rest of the first-team squad get a day off. Chelsea hands a full debut to rookie striker Scott Sinclair and rests goalkeeper Petr Cech, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole. Teams: Chelsea: Cudicini, Diarra, Ferreira, Terry, Bridge, Makelele, Wright-Phillips, Essien, Mikel, Kalou, Sinclair.Subs: Hilario, Joe Cole, Geremi, Morais, Sahar. Man Utd: Kuszczak, Lee, Brown, O'Shea, Heinze, Eagles, Smith, Fletcher, Richardson, Solskjaer, Dong.Subs: Van der Sar, Ferdinand, Rooney, Carrick, Scholes. mister slippery
well, i enjoyed that, and now im drunk. sinclair could be some fun, if given room to run down the side,, no reall impression of ben sahar from the time he was in. united reserve keeper (wozzak?) really shone today, well played. joe cole a force once brought in, but realitically, the whole thing played out as it should have, nil-nil. oh well, one more. Davey Boy 2.0
Mourinho arrestedChelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been arrested and cautioned for obstructing police after they tried to quarantine his pet Yorkshire terrier, according to reports.Today's Sun claims Mourinho sprinted out of Chelsea's player of the year awards and rushed home to Belgravia after his wife called to tell him police had arrived at their home and were trying to take the dog away to quarantine. Officials feared the dog had been taken abroad, then back to Britain, without jabs. But Mourinho, apparently unwilling to surrender his pooch so soon after letting go of his Premiership title, is said to have confronted the police before grabbing the dog and releasing it onto the streets so that they couldn't take it with them. The Sun claims it was still on the loose last night."A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police and was taken to a west London police station," said a Scotland Yard spokesman today. "He subsequently received a caution for obstructing police."The spokesman said the dog was to be seized for alleged offences under the Animal Health Act of 1981 and the Rabies Order of 1974.
