hamilton
I've really been loving the Broken Arrow album lately. It gets me all tranced out when driving. That album really grew on me well after it came out. When it was new, I thought... meh. But years later, it hit me just how good it is! The beauty of Neil Young is that he will pretty much never do what you are expecting him to do.
The Chameleon
I got two fav's that are not common: Albaqurque & Come on Baby Let's Go Downtown (although technically it's a danny whitten tune)Is it a suprise Phish and Trey have cover these...I think not! TheGoodRev
Those are awesome tunes too. I think Tonight's the Night is the standard "get-drunk-and-listen-to-Neil" album. It's stellar top-to-bottom. Roll Another Number is a good one.
AD
TI think Tonight's the Night is the standard "get-drunk-and-listen-to-Neil" album. It's stellar top-to-bottom. I see your 'Tonight's the Night' and I raise you 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere.' Nah, I fold. It's a draw.
Mr. Photogeek
I may be the only one, but I really love Hawks and Doves...especially Captain Kennedy and the Old Homestead. Two of my all time favorite Neil tunes...

Mr. Photogeek
Good I'm not alone! Of course the same people who don't like this album think Wilco is only something you say after Roger and Ryan Adams is Brian Adams drunken cousin... MarcO
SlowpokeSomething opened up the gates again,I cant control it, so I rushed right in.Here comes a mommy and a little girl,Saw open drawers from around the world.I got some medals hanging on my chest,Ive seen some good ones, but I missed the rest.Lady luck dont you turn on me,Im just a student of your history,Im just a student of your history.Slowpoke Im gonna run with you,Wear all your clothes and do what you do.Slowpoke we got some things to find,When I was faster, I was always behind,When I was faster, I was always behind.Something pushed back the curtain again,The stage is deeper and the crowd is in.The song is gentle, but the song is now.Somethings missing, but something is found,Somethings missing, but something is found,Somethings missing, but something is found.Slowpoke Im gonna run with you,Wear all your clothes and do what you do.Slowpoke we got some things to find,When I was faster, I was always behind. When I was faster,When I was faster, I was always behind,When I was faster......(from CSNY's occasionally awful "Looking Forward" cd)
peipunk
My favourite Neil Young album is Zuma. I think "Pardon My Heart" is one of his most beautiful and most underrated songs, the acoustic playing in it is heart melting.
Wassink Wild Card!
Broken Arrow is my favorite Neil album.1996, the year of it's release, was the first time I saw him in concert, so the songs of this album are so memorable to me. Absolutely love how Neil whispers his way through 'Music Arcade'.

Guest Low Roller
I'm currently (and seemingly forever) reading SHAKEY ... Neil Young's biography. It's AMAZING!! I highly encourage any fan of Neil's to read it. I just bought it today. Thanks for the recommendation.
