Cully
I am in the market for a labtop and I was wondering if anyone could recommend if I get one with Vista, or just stick to an older one with Windows Xp? Anyone seen any good deals around T.O.?

The Chameleon
I would not trust vista until it has gone through 2-3 generations. It takes that long for Microsoft to work out the kinks/bugs.

bouche
About vista, if you get a laptop that will support the advanced features of vista, you may as well do it. I'm guessing most entry-level laptops do not support the new interface bells and whistles. If you have any reason to run a windows machine like the abundance of warez versions of photoshop or office, you'll have a harder time on the mac getting software that you're used to getting for free.
