Kanada Kev
I've always been blown away by how well Stevie can play the drums! Wish I could have been at these: Edited September 21, 2007 by Guest

secondtube
stone, both nights of greendale were at the ACC, and he sold out both nights....which is pretty amazing...however, now he has graced us with three nights at massey hall.....so i guess we get the best of both worlds....however, hearing greendale in a small intimate setting would have beeng grrrreat!!! ollie
i'd love to see him too....30 years ago. Now he's more like this:Shut up dude! Stevie might not play an encore!
StoneMtn
My apologies it it sounded like I was poo-pooing Greendale at the ACC. If I'd been here, I would have gone to those too.I just never looked into it, and I presumed that he was doing small venues for the Greendale tour. Maybe Vancouver was just lucky. You know, weirdly enough, the worst sound I ever had for Neil was actually in a little hockey arena, in Duncan, BC; so size isn't everything. A good soundman is worth his (her?) weight in gold.
phorbesie
well last time i saw neil in vancouver (2000 maybe?) he played GM place and it was EMPTY. the floor was full, all the seats were empty. maybe that's why he opted to go back to smaller venues. StoneMtn
I don't remember that. I must have been there, but no recollection. That makes sense, though.EDIT:Actually, I do remember being at that show. I was in the stands. Edited September 21, 2007 by Guest
phorbesie
ok, MOST of the seats were empty
StoneMtn
I'm sure that's true. I don't remember much about that show other than being up in the stands, and some unusual merch being sold, including Neil Young Rolling Papers. Patchoulia
There have been reports that Stevie has been AMAZING on this latest tour...so that bodes well. And, bouche, are you seriously negating an artist for one questionable song in their repertoire? Should we write off everything the Dead did after "Dancing in the Streets"? Should no one have gone to see them after their wholly suspect disco forays? Just wondering. StoneMtn
I don't know about him live specifically, but I do think Stevie Wonder's awesome. I just wish it was a better venue he was playing here.Apart from the amazing songs he wrote (even if he had some lame ones too, in fairness) he got famous among not only the black people, but also all the whiteys, at a time that a blind, black man needed a lot of guts to get into the popular music scene.I dig Stevie. Kanada Kev
I dig Stevie. Me too. One of the best albums always: Freaked out many people playing the "original" Pastime Paradise by Stevie to show how UNoriginal Coolio was. I did hear that Stevie did give Coolio permission. However, it's more of a 'cover' version than anything truly original. Edited September 22, 2007 by Guest

Basher
FYI, the ACC PSL presale was cancelled this morning with no new date announced. This could mean anything, including the possibility that the show is cancelled.
