c-towns
In Toronto my favourite wings are from the chain St. Louis Bar & GrillI heard there radio advertisement when I first moved here "voted best wings in Toronto" and was intrigued to give them a go. They were no different than any shitty bar pigeon wing I ever had, I'll never go back if I can help it.The best wings I've had go as follows.Pizza Tonight in Chatham, tied for the biggest, definately the cheapest, could use more sauce optionsThe Bull and whatever in Collingwood, tied for biggest, rather expensive, great sauces.Wing Emporium in West Toronto (islington and queensway), fair size, fair price, major sauce selection.I like wings. Jaimoe
I don't like saucy wings nor big fatty ones, thus I'll stand by my love of St. Louis' "bar pidgeon" wings.
c-towns
big fatty onesThese big ones I speak of are all meat, very little fat. Those pigeon wings are miss or miss if they're fried too long, bye bye little meat.
Jaimoe
I've eaten wings in many many places (as we all have). I wasn't blown away from the "best wings in Ottawa" when I last visited Booche at that sports bar he and I went to to visit Davey Boy - I was shocked that I didn't love the wings. I also hated the big wings at the Kingston Brew Pub that my friends raved about.Anyway, my wife really likes St. Louis wings. I know tons of people that love them. It may have to do with how they are prepared over size. I do like the sauce consistency from mild to suicide - the only thing that changes is the heat. I do not like the St. Louis' pubs however. Fucking phoney sports pubs.
Davey Boy 2.0
I'm surprised that you don't like the Brew Pub's wings, they're among my favouritesas for Local Heroes, i prefer the bigger wings to what they call roasters and their sauce selection isn't amazing but it does the tricki officially have a craving now
Jaimoe
Dave, those Brew Pub wings were terrible. Fatty and undercooked, but the sauce was good.
Davey Boy 2.0
hmmmm, well i do admit it's probably been about 7-9 years since i've had em so maybe the standards have slipped Edited January 10, 2008 by Guest
Booche
Every person in Ottawa that has mentioned St Louis' wings to me have told me to "stay the fuck away from them"All it took was C-Towns to confirm.I wasn't blown away from the "best wings in Ottawa" Obviously you are a putz. Reason number 1021:I had hot wings from Swiss Chalet. Never again. It was like eating suicide wings dipped in spicy lava. I find that impossible to believe. That place caters to blue hairs. Davey Boy 2.0
I'd be willing to bet that Crystal could whoop jaimoe's arse in a heat tolerance showdown (not that she'd ever agree to it mind you)Although it might make up for him laughing at me back in highschool coz his sister could benchpress more than me (never confirmed)

Jaimoe
Even Vicki found those Swiss Chalet wings evil. If it wasn't for the heat, they were pretty good.

Jaimoe
Isnt she a recovering vegetarian? I went to Mill Street earlier in the week and she was eating a steak salad. She's starting to eat beef again, but only free-range/organic/naturally raised.
