jayr
****UPDATED IN MY POST A FEW DOWN****....There are a few dates available in the new year at a venue in Collingwood and I'm in need of some bands that are looking for exposure. The pay is not that high but being a musician I know that sometimes just going out and playing and being heard is more important. We are trying to get away from the same old same old people playing over and over in town (which allison has been doing a spectacular job of might I add!) so if anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be great. Please supply myspace addresses if possible.Jay Edited November 3, 2008 by Guest

jayr
BUMP + UPDATE:Pay has increased, venue is even more killer. Please let me know of any bands that you'd recommend that play bars and small clubs. All genres (except: metal of any kind and solo singer songwriters with some exceptions). Any bands within the Torontoish area would be best.Cheers,J

Old Sheller
Hey Jay,I play in a roots rock band called The Northwest Division. Our sound is along the lines of NY & Crazy Horse. If this is something you think might fit at your venue, feel free to contact us for a possible show.Thanks!northwestdivison@gmail.com

thomson
C-wood isn't all that far a trek from Orangeville and there are a handful of good bands in and around O-ville that play quite regularly throughout SoOn. You'll recognize some of these folks from the Sonic Orchard line-up.Devin and the Darklighthttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=42759425The Houseplantshttp://www.myspace.com/thehouseplantscaGrande Firhttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=38062478Justin McDonaldhttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=90286926Red Barnhttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=151581983The Cellarshttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=101042383The Stew Gunn Bandhttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=46724935

I'm always impressed by how far they wander within the genre of rock. They have quite a range of sounds.
