phishtaper
did you have to go into work today, SP? that would suck bad. it's beautiful here in Guelph ... you know, to witness. light snow falling right now, although the roads are slippery and getting worse. now, what to do? play with the dog in the backyard? sit in front of the fireplace sipping cocoa? i like snowdays. Patchoulia
Yeah, I did...my boss is in Halifax today and needs me to do a bunch of stuff at the office (that I couldn't do from home).I would say about 5% of people are here at the moment... bradm
now, what to do? play with the dog in the backyard? sit in front of the fireplace sipping cocoa?Do both: first play with the dog in the backyard, then come inside and warm up in front of the fireplace sipping cocoa.Aloha,Brad
Patchoulia
I really just wanna frolic in the flurries! Oh well. At least the dearth of employees means I can play music as loudly and annoyingly as I want.I am currently streaming the Slowcoaster show from Maverick's last year (Good job, BradM!) Patchoulia
We were driving this morning and saw so much rampant asshattery...2 ridiculous women actually walked right in front of our moving vehicle--if it weren't for snow tires, they would have been smooshed! c-towns
I am currently streaming the Slowcoaster show from Maverick's last yearIs this any indication that you will be seeing them tomorrow?I am 1 of about 6 people out of 24 total that came to work today. The roads from Toronto to Oakville were slick but I think a lot of people chose not to come to work today so the roads were less crowded.

bradm
Maybe I'll "mistakenly" put the bus in a ditch, curl up with a good book, and wait for the tow truck.Just make sure you choose a place along the ditch that's conveniently located equidistant from a Tim Horton's, a Beer Store (and/or LCBO), and a decent pizza place.Aloha,Brad
rubberdinghy
Oh Brad...I've got the place all lined up...10th Line and Innes, just far enough away from a tow, and plenty of good places for snacks... Stop on by.
Patchoulia
I can see it now...Mr Dinghy, enjoying a slice, informing all potential passengers, between bites, "Sorry *munch* *munch* this bus ain't goin' nowhere...horrible accident...pass me a cold one from that snowbank, will ya?" ollie
When did Canadians become such wimps anyway? This whole "oh my god it's snowing I need to go home" racket is embarrassing.(Not anyone here in particular, just in general.)
phorbesie
this surprises me also. back in vancouver if we got a lot of snow, everything would be closed, but it doesn't happen often. seems like out here people would be used to snow by now? lol
