questcequecest?
yeah i know, i just booked a trip to austin: (2 x $200 = $638)apparently toronto is one of the most expensive airports in the world with respect to runway access fees for carriers. go figure! Blane
I think as a rule of thumb the expedia, flightcentre, travelcuts sites (etc.) are good for finding out which tickets are the cheapest, then going directly to the airline's website will get you a ticket for a bit cheaper still. That said, i'm looking for tickets to the UK for the end of the summer and they're up over 1,400 bucks right now! Crazy! I got one less than 2 months ago at under 900 with all fees and carbon offsets included.
MoMack
Taxes are worse here.I usually use farecast.comIt'll give you the fares, tell you where its cheapest and it'll even tell you whether its likely to go up or down.THen I book through the airline. Used to use expedia etc. but it sure sucks when you need customer service and you booked with those web travel agents... ie. weather or flight cancellations etc. the airlines take care of their own first.
