AD
MC Hammer played Bluesfest the last year it was at Lebreton, before heading downtown. It was a gospel set.
Velvet
It was vaguely a gospel set. Frankly, it was barely a set.
Hartamophone
Always a killer lineup at this festy. The story I've heard (which would be pretty easy to confirm or deny) is that they guy who is behind it is a huge music fan who has tons of $$$ and basically does this as a community service. snarfmaster C
so I guess this fest is paid for by Warren Hellman of Hellman's mayo fame. He plays banjo and loves the music, so this is what he does with his fortune. got up on stage a few times to play along. I guess when you shell out that kind of cash you're allowed to get onstage with the legends. This year was number 9 and by all accounts the most packed yet. The audience was assured that it would continue into the future - by Warren and a couple of the artists too. Saw Emmylou receive an honourary doctorate from Berklee before her set Sunday night. Some HORRIBLE overlaps in the schedule, but such is life. sweet sweet life
Velvet
Another reason to love Hellman's.Glad to hear you had a good time, and happy to hear you're loving life so much. It's amazing what an extended road trip can do to one's state of mindfulnessness.

bagochips
I'm so happy for you, C-word. This festival was almost enough to make me delay my trip to South America. I'm glad one of us made it. Keep on rocking in the free world, amiga.Oh yeah, thanks again for taking me to Black Rock City. See you there next year.
