mister slippery
Oh, Drug Cheat, No!!Rio Ferdinand was taken to hospital for a scan on his knee, after picking up a knock in training.Hoping to see this updated as the day moves on. I may not want him as captain, but he's a useful cat to have around.8 more sleeps, 9 till England.
ollie
Hey slippery, I think your being harsh on Rio by constantly referring to him as drug cheat. I mean, I get where it comes from but I don't know how you can be so hard on him for something most pro athletes do (I believe). How do you square John Terry's 9/11 comments exactly? Because I find that waaay more reprehensible in terms of being a shitty human being.
mister slippery
Most athletes? He skipped a drug test, was found guilty of doing so, and was suspended for 8 months, hurting club and country. Most athletes dont skip drug tests.I'll say, honestly, that I know nothing of JT's 9/11 comments, and will look em up now.My feeling for DrugCheat came when he was named captain, before that I just thought of him as United. ollie
Most athletes? He skipped a drug test, was found guilty of doing so, and was suspended for 8 months, hurting club and country. Most athletes dont skip drug tests.Semantics. Most pro athletes use performance enhancing drugs is what I meant. "Most" is probably pushing it, but enough do, IMO, that I don't really hold it against the players that get caught. If you're gonna bash Rio, do it on the DUI. Davey Boy 2.0
While I don't think of myself as an athlete I, for one, hereby admit to using performance enhancing drugs.I won't say what kind as I'm fairly busy at work today.

ollie
As much as I dislike Drogba (not that much really) I'm disappointed because I like to see each squad at full strength, and he's fun to watch.

TheSloth
The only thing I'm disappointed by is I haven't found footage of him breaking his arm yet. He's currently by far my least favorite player.

Drogba Arm Break I think you should probably click the link Slippery...... and really, that was much more of a back breaker than an arm breaker. I remember it well but not fondly. mister slippery
according to bbc.co.ukDrugCheat Ferdinand will miss the next 6 weeks with ligament damage. His place on defence will be taken by Spurs' Michael Dawson, and England's new captain is The One Steven Gerard. :chug: Here's to you, Stevie G. Now that's what I call a captain.

mister slippery
5 Spurs > 4 Chavs.Delicious! :chug: Nice one. I've got no problems with Spurs, certainly the better of the North London clubs. Mind you, being better than the Filth is kind of like being nicer than Hitler, but still, Spurs = pretty cool.
TheSloth
I'll just ignore all that in an effort to keep us focused on England and the Cup.
ollie
Ha, ha, yeah, this squad has got to be pretty putrid for Arsenal fans. Time for solidarity though.
mister slippery
Well, fvck the Filth. They're good at what they do, and might have the best reserve squad in England, but Arsene refuses to entertain the idea of using English players (Theo excepted, of course). The Filth is useless to England, and they know it, but they're a magnificent club. If I wasn't full-on CFC, I'd probably really enjoy what the Filth have to offer. And ManUre, and Spurs, and all them taboot.Thank god for the CFC!Well, that was a nice, semi-inebriated rant, now off to TFC vs Kansas City.As a world cup note, apparently Arjen Robben limped off in a 6-1 victory in a friendly vs Hungary today.6 more sleeps, 7 till England. :content:
mister slippery
Oh, and solidarity is easier now that fvcking Drug-Cheat is gone.I have no problems accepting the fat blue-nosed bastard as the captain."Cheer up Stevie G,oh, what can it meanto a fat, blue-nosed bastard on a crap football team."
