dave-O
well... you implied something had changed in 6-7 years.
Tissue Man
i was implying he used to be somewhat of a fighter but now he just acts tough against non-fighters.. picking his spots. anyway the big important issue is chris neil is either A) a crack baby or a fetal alcohol baby. i guess you could throw in C) all of the above.. i choose C. AD
What a shit performance last night. Sens were playing half-speed while the Canucks were double speed. I wonder if someone should double-check to see if the Sens players know when the period is starting and underway. Leclaire should catch the first bus to Bingo and learn how to play again.1. Could the referees be more in the way? So many times last night the referees were either deflecting shots / passes, or blocking players' access to pucks, for both teams. They need to learn how to position themselves.2. Great commentary by Potvin when Bieksa got that elbowing penalty in the first period. "Well, he'll go to the box and feel shame." dave-O
Nothing like a Pascal Leclaire start to kill your team's momentum. ugh, that was ugly.
ollie
Geez, I did not know this until now. So very sad to hear. The Senators did it for Luke Saturday night at TD Garden. Not long after learning assistant coach/former teammate Luke Richardson lost his 14-year-old daughter Daron to injuries suffered in a suicide Friday, the Senators gave it everything they had in a 2-0 victory over the Bruins.http://www.ottawasun.com/sports/hockey/2010/11/13/16129316.html

ollie
I'm not saying Sens didn't deserve the calls against them but these penalty-fests are a real chore to watch. And when we finally get one... shortie! Fuck.

dave-O
Beauty goal by Spez. Some horrendous penalty calls against the Sens, but the Kings got two goals called back that probably should have been allowed (or at least a penalty on Carkner pushing the net off). Freak By Night
After they announced that Kovalev scored his 1000th point, the crowd gave him a standing "O", which kind of caught me by surprise. I mean, here's the player who consistently phones it in game after game. After a few seconds, everyone stood and cheered for Kovy. Now I can say "I was there the night of his 1000th point!"Strange game. You can't say it wasn't exciting right down to the final buzzer.
Kanada Kev
Kovalev's 1000th point in the NHL ... was kinda surprised to hear this morning that he's only the third Russian player to do so. The other twoMogilny and Fedorov
