hey now
i've not heard anything negative yet.to the positive though many bethel homeowners have allowed camping on their lawns with lots of bbq and refreshments available.

jaybone
I really like the first two nights.Haven't listened to the third yet but the reviews seem less excited about it then the previous night's shows.
Northern Wish
Yep.From what I listened to last night- they looked at Bethel like a marathon but came out in the first 10 too fast and didn't have the stamina to finish it proper. The Cities, Boogie On, Jim, Tweezer>MFMF, C+P, Gin etc. all showed some new spark, but the glimpse of flame was extinguished last night. jaybone
I dig the Wolfman's>Walk Away. No crazy jamming but fun and tight! Edited May 30, 2011 by Guest
Northern Wish
There are enough fun/ jammy/ solid moments from those first two shows to warrant a little downloading and listening. This weekend was the first time in a very very long time that I downloaded a show the next day and listened to it immediately. skelter
What's with the lack of new songs? It seems like we've had nothing new (that's made into regular rotation) since summer '09 when we had all the songs off Joy.
Northern Wish
IMO, they are working on playing the old songs the way they once did.I'd much rather have a very nice Tweezer or Halleys than let them work out a brand new piece of crap like Joy. afro poppa
Just got back from bethel and all three shows were great. Camped about 30 minutes away but we had an awesome shuttle there and back.. What a great weekend!!

Booche
I'm at the Gin from the 2nd night as we speak. Definite promise for this summer because that was a solid closer for the first set. Things are sounding fuller and I hope the trend continues.

The Chameleon
I was at all 3 shows and the first night was the best by far. Killer show!
phorbesie
overall impressions from the three opening dates? I haven't listened to them just yet. Bethel was amazing all around. The venue is perfect, the weather was perfect, the band was tight. The 2nd night was the best show, but set 1 and C&P on first night were awesome too. I liked the first show a lot, but was on the lawn for that one...it would have been nutty up close i'm sure. Night 3 was good but not like the other 2 nights. VERY good for tour opener IMO, it's gonna be a good tour!
