Hal Johnson
Heard on the radio that he was offered the same deal as Bieksa and turned it down.
hamilton
EDIT: He just got traded to Buffalo for a 4th round pick, the same price the Isles paid to get his rights in the first place. Ehrhoff signs 10-year deal with Sabres.
Guest Low Roller
A 10 year deal. What madness is this? And the Isles didn't want to offer that? REALLY? Given their ludicrous history I am surprised.Wiz is cashing in today big time.
Guest Low Roller
Wiz is cashing in today big time.Just signed a 6 year deal with Columbus for $33M! That's a $5.5M cap hit for an offensive Dman who is shaky in his own end.Free agency in 50 minutes!!
rubberdinghy
Richards is gonna sign a 15 year $150 million contract isn't he?
Booche
That's a $5.5M cap hit for the next 6 years for an offensive Dman who has had one good year!fify
Guest Low Roller
Richards is gonna sign a 15 year $150 million contract isn't he? He is the main event today. Apparently his agent is holding "auditions" in person from various teams today. Don't expect a decision until the end of the day today is the word. EDIT: Teams that are pitching for Richards are Toronto, Montreal, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, and Los Angeles. Edited July 1, 2011 by Low Roller
Guest Low Roller
Rangers win the Richards sweepstakes. Nobody is really surprised.... 9 years for $58.5M. Flames offered 9 years for $65M, so Richards took LESS money to play for Torts. Maniac.

Guest Low Roller
I find it bizarre that with all the insane spending the Panthers were doing that they couldn't keep Vokoun who signed for $1.5M with Washington.
Guest Low Roller
Leafs traded Brett Lebda and Robert Slaney for Nashville defenseman Cody Franson and forward Matthew Lombardi. Lombardi still suffers from post-concussion symptoms, and will make $3.5M next season.Nashville probably has to clear some cap space to sign the RFAs that might become UFAs because they screwed up the qualifying offer process. ollie
New Jets logo. Looks too military for me. Also reminds me of the Conservative Party of Canada logo. I hate this team already.
