bradm
http://www.wellingtonwest.ca/displaypage.asp?id=1This looks like a good fun time in a great neighbourhood in Ottawa. A big highlight for me is Mike Essoudry's Mash Potato Mashers, who'll be playing in front of St. Vincent de Paul at 1:30pm.Aloha,Brad
Davey Boy 2.0
likely in.the line ups do get a bit insane though if food is your main objective
Cosmic ChrisC
I'd like to check this out this year, even if Ollie went one year and complained about the lineups. I've never been. Maybe my goal should be to just get out of the house at a decent time for an afternoon walk...that way, I won't be disappointed if I don't get any samples of food, you know? A beer somewhere would be nice though.
bradm
The Elmdale House Tavern is supposed to have an outdoor stage, with "Still Dangerous" and "Adam 12" playing.Aloha,Brad
Cosmic ChrisC
Free outdoor music is fun.I'd also like to try the Granville Island Pale Ale that Back Lane Café serves; located at 1087 Wellington. I think they have it on tap. I hear they also make homemade doughnuts that are very tasty. You can also check out some art this weekend during the West End Studio Tour

Cosmic ChrisC
I went to the brewery when I visited my sister in Vancouyer years ago, that's the only reason I know about this beer. I can't remember if I liked what I tasted though, so I guess it must have been just OK!
Davey Boy 2.0
I find that the beerbong gives it a plasticier nose than using a traditional glass vessel

Northern Wish
I didn't go but I did see the crowds building even before 11am. "Not to be outdone" was IMO completely bullshit. The BIA's should be cooperating and bringing people to the neighborhood not once in a big push, but over two seperate weekends.Even in those early hours I could see that pedestrian access was going to be a problem and that for motorists and cyclists along Wellington West there was a real danger of an accident with those classic cars parked so close to the path of traffic. It was a great event last year despite the rain and I am sure it was again this year- but I just thought the multiple events was overkill for an area that lacks a real identity the rest of the year.Did anyone get any good food?
