as a guy who doesn't know metallica but knows lou reed as a "talk singer".... I wondered... "Is lou singing this chorus? If that's lou reed, i'm impressed." but after perusing that article for answers, I found it. Lou just talked away like he always does. booooooo!

hmmmm. there was a boatload of spam intrusions recently until I put on the brakes and setup registration approvals. unfortunately, I think some of the deletes/cleanup got lost when I restored a backup, or there were some much older spam registrations that I missed. There shouldn't be any new spam accounts.

For browser and login issues try these steps: 1. if you can login, but are having problems with navigation use the change password feature My Skank > Control Panel > 1st menu (language is facked) so double click that and you'll see Change Password. You should be able to change it to the same password and it'll be encrypted properly (encryption changed between versions) 2. go to Help > Cookie Utility > Expire cookies 3. if that doesn't work, email me to reset your password to temp password, then login and change it to whatever you want.

sounds like fun.

Apparently Google and Bing bots are hammering the site indexing, which is costing the site speed right now. This must be related to upgrading and probably new meta-tags and site map structure. It shouldn't last forever.

I ran a script that looks it cleaned up the permissions. I was able to see that your account will now jump to new posts. I had other settings problems that either wouldn't "save" or didn't do anything and they're all good now.

Thanks Esau. I've reported the slowness problems. I've seen "Internal Server" errors. Dinghy...the slowness could be holding back that page from being fully loaded behind the scenes which may mean that the button doesn't have it's script to run yet. Let it load for a bit longer.

Go to My Skank>Control Panel>General Settings>Display Settings and verify that "Auto jump to new posts" is checked.

geez. a solo show is still great...but why can't there be one in Ottawa?

it's tough to understand what permissions are set for everyone since i'm and admin. Admin account doesn't get "you don't have access" messages. I'll have to log in as a standard user and poke around.

does everything look normalish? there are some site graphics/styles that I'm going to have to edit that I forgot I had customized and new styles that I have to add to the custom skin. So if anyone notices any odd things, feel free to post them.
