    Cast Iron cookware

i'd like to check that place out though I have no idea where Blossom Park is. you can't beat home fries on cast iron. I made a cornbread in one of the other older pans. Easy.

  5. Does anyone use cast iron in cooking? I spent a couple of weeks hunting on Ebay for a good sized Griswold #10 cast iron pan. There's a slew of collectors out there that don't even cook with them. They just collect. The one I picked up doesn't look like it was used much, and from the markings on it, it's apparently made in the original factory of Erie, PA around 1957. So it should be quite old, according to what I've read. However, being old, I would expect major seasoning and use evidence, but it still has that grey iron look to it. It's not a shimmery deep black. According to my research, Griswold and Wagner are the top choices for pans that last many lifetimes. Anyway, just curious if anyone is into cast iron

  7. sounds great. saw this tribute in ottawa last year and it was f'n fantastic.
  8. Thanks for the heads-up. PVR'd! How many episodes? It says that it's a series but only mentions one date.
  9. It also looks like Prince will spend alot of time in the crossroads (centre) of the stage.
  10. Here's an example of the stage setup and the various sections. You can also get a sense of scale from that lady's big giant head. Section A is at the bottom left....F at the far right.
  11. Getting 6 people to see prince for $400 is a pretty damn fine thing. Hopefully it'll make a few more Prince fans if they aren't already. There probably won't be another opportunity to beat out the Metropolis experience again, unless one follows every move Prince makes and is willing to travel. He really can pull of anything from year to year. From intimate residencies like 3121 experience in Vegas to aftershows in random cities (come on Barrymore's!), it's really tough to keep up.

  13. Total cost was $170. Pricey, but it's Prince and worth every damn penny to see every move, facial contortion, and crazy arse guitar runs as close as possible.
  14. YAY CosmicChris! sweet. sounds like we'll all be funkified in section A
  15. This is from prince.org but it's one person's pov. I know prince moves around like crazy and agree with Velvet's assessment. "First of all, Prince plays 80% standing in the center of the symbol, but facing the point of the symbol. Look at the superbowl for reference. So, avoid seats around the "back" or round head of the symbol."
  16. Sure...do the casual 10 hour drive. Or spend 100 bucks for a 45 minute flight on Virgin.
  17. geez. they did that last year as well. go to vegas, and THEN casually grab a flight to San Fran as part of the vegas trip.
  18. from what I remember, VIP were $500 and Purple Circle were $750 USD. Not sure why one would want to sit at a table at a Prince show...I'm betting if you have a table, you have to sit and drink champagne and shut up. Purple Circle is probably not what it's cracked up to be.
  19. I just remembered my neighbour had a problem last summer and was freaking out. When I went to try and detect, and remove a virus I had no access to run virus software, or install any. Her virus actually targeted virus scanners. Ultimately, I had to go into safe mode and was able to reinstall avg and clean out the virus. There were registry entries etc that the virus screwed with to disable certain functionality. So basically, viruses can disable the ability to run virus scans, or even make you think that nothing was found.
  20. oh man. I would love to go purple circle. http://v2.iloveallaccess.com/Tours/prince/welcome-2-canada
