Hear Hear ... I loved that movie. Got completely mesmerized by it one night staying up late watching it by myself. Stunning visuals and a very unique film. I gotta watch it again sometime when the time is right.

I've heard some amazing things about this film. I'm dying to see it too. DDL makes everything that much better that he stars in.

I go for the live act. I completely understand how some feel about their newer material. That's the same with many bands. I also understand peoples' dislike for Geddy's voice. I also understand this for some people with The Hip, Neil Young, R.E.M., Bob Dylan, Phish, etc. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong at all, it's just that Rush is "one of those bands".

Some tunes translated well to tape, but were weak live, and vise versa. The thing with the GD is there was always somebody who was happy as a pig in shit when they'd bust out a song at a show. If you weren't a big fan of the song, at least you could feel really happy for the person who now had a cheshire grin on their face at that moment One man gathers what another man spills ...

really? Wow. I've always loved this song. Great versions from the 1980 acoustic shows, electric versions that get jammed out, a second set Cassidy 10/3/94 (my last show ) I hear ya. Fuck i hated that song. At one point I had it as an encore for 7 or 8 shows or something. Nasty. At least it was easy getting out to the lot

Damn, I wish we had digital cameras back then. I only took my camera on a few tours and was focused on concert shots and not of the scene. I regret that now. I've got some good lot scenes shots from Buckeye in '91 (when the Violent Femmes opened!) and some good video of the lot at Soldier Field in '92 too. Gotta get those transferred soon.

Right. I was just trying to emphasize the fact that it is an important case and we should all care whether or not we agree with Emery as a person/activist. I don't want to start a ball rolling here that has my gov't willing to hand me over (or not try and get me back) from another if needed.

From the CBS piece I find it astounding that US Law deems one seed to be the equivalent of a fully grown viable plant ready to distribute. Therefore, a bag of 500 seeds = 500 plants! WTF?! Yup, let's send him down there ... it's only fair.
