  1. Too many wimpy artists on the "big labels" these days. They don't have the balls like the Dixie Chicks did. Too afraid of losing their contracts. Fuck 'em. I couldn't believe the negativity targeted at the artists that participated in the Vote For Change Tour in 2004 (Springsteen, REM, Fogerty, Dixie Chicks, Pearl Jam, DMB, Mellencamp, etc. GREAT concert I was lucky to attend in Detroit What a great experience being at a show that stood for something. I hope they do it again.
  2. Last month I flew out of Buffalo to go to Orlando. It was a breeze! Trust me, I'll be doing it again for sure. From Oakville it only takes just over an hour to get there. On some days it could take that long to drive to Pearson in traffic, etc. Once you're at the Buffalo airport you only deal with security for national flights ... no customs!!! That saves a lot of airport hassle too.
  3. D'oh ... forgot about the repeats. It's been a while

  5. Yup ... i chuckled this morning when I heard the news. When I went to bed, I checked online and was 2-0 in the third. Where'd the other goals come from? Another one on LeafsTV tonight. Go Kings Go TONS of talk on the radio the past couple of days on how it's time to try and get something for Sundin. It's amazing how he can still have a good season surrounded by shit. I still want to find a paper bag company, get them to donate a skid of product, and hand them out down at the ACC before the games. Imagine a sea of fans with paper bags on their heads ... it would definitely get some coverage
  6. Holy FUCK Clarke is a jackass. http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=226849&hubname=
  7. Check out the Verdier solar power Westfailia. S W E E T http://www.verdier.ca/ http://www.thegreenguide.com/blog/freshfinds
  8. Heyyyy, I recognize him. It's the dude who got trampled by turtles! When that plane buzzed the beach that day it was awesome! I couldn't believe that it'd come in that low adn that close. Caught a lot of people off guard. Hope they do it again this year. Hope you're doing well Tara ... say high to Baj
  9. I've seen Santana a number of times over the years. None since that Supranatural show though. That one made me cringe. He'd gone so mainstream at that point and the crowd was annoying. Prior to that, I recall the RR/Sanatana show and Carlos' Jesus rants did go on too long for my liking. I was fortunate enough to see him in Vegas in '91 when he opened 2 shows for the Grateful Dead. Came out and did a sweet Bird Song with the boys one day too Such a fun time that weekend, and it was my wife-to-be's birthday as well Too bad his set each day was INDENTICAL!! I'm up for seeing him again as he is a phenomenal guitarist and can really take you out there. If I can get some of those comp Players Club tix I might just make the effort to get to Rama
  10. puhleeze!!! I'd LOVE one. I'll offer back here as always
  11. Thanks ... i'll take a look on Dime when I get home. Maybe it'll still be out there somewhere
  12. ^^^^^ Nice! I've never heard the French version of Unbreakable Chain. Anywhere where I can easily download that one?
  13. "NBC, CBS, Fox and ABC have some excellent shows too" Yeah, but they do too many of these LOL:
  14. Video, not pic, whaterver Lamest hockey fight EVER!
  15. LOL ... just joking around ( ) First time I had seen that pic and didn't know about the bet ... i think that's actually pretty funny that they had that bet going and good on him for living up to his end of the bargain.
  16. Oh fuck ... i just puked a little in my mouth. How the fuck could they let him wear that jersey? Emery should have been trading shots with Alfie instead of McGratton Let's see how "Canadian" he can get!
  17. Battlestar Galactica is interesting to me too. I always think of the series from when i was a kid (which i loved!) Those cylon dudes were too cool: I know to expect much much more out of the newer version. I'm adding it to my 'list' as well . I did catch one episode of Rescue me last year and really liked what I saw there too. I have to see these things from the start. All this, and there's a gazillion quality movies I haven't seen in recent years too! Now, I've got my drink ready and it's time to sit down with the good folk of Deadwood and hear what they're all up to
  18. I love the suggestions for some lesser "known" series here. I totally agree with Jamoie that these HBO-style series are kicking some serious ass when it comes to quality writing, acting, visuals. Shame to see them edited for network viewers in the slightest. Do yourself a favour and rent the DVDs and have a marathon. Rome - amazing season 1 and season 2 even more! Deadwood - never would have expected it, but loving the fuck out of those cocksuckers in the first season right now Dexter - on the to-watch list The Wire - one more for the list Pirates look here!

    Iraq '07

"The chart, compiled from data provided by the American and Iraqi governments and news media organizations, gives information on the type and location of each attack responsible for the 2,592 recorded deaths among American and other coalition troops, Iraqi security forces and members of the peshmerga militias controlled by the Kurdish government.
  20. For a musical to see live that is pretty powerful go and see Les Miserables. It's not very happy, but what do you expect with that title? Seriously though, it's a damn good one.
  21. Ugh ... i don't mind musicals, but a lot of them are crap. Modonna? Antonio Banderas? Check out Mambo Kings ... kickass soundtrack and a good movie! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mambo_Kings For my "televisual/cinematic cry" i gotta go with the final episode of M*A*S*H* ... that's a doozy
