  2. http://bit.ly/iueRsF Rebirth Brass Band – Rebirth Of New Orleans Having celebrated its 25th anniversary on 25th Anniversary, the Rebirth Brass Band addresses the rebirth of New Orleans more than five years after Hurricane Katrina on Rebirth of New Orleans. The group had moved stylistically from its traditional N.O. marching band roots to something of a rap and hip-hop phase, but appropriate to the theme of rebirth, this album returns to a traditional approach, starting with “Exactly Like You,†an old standard. Other songs are originals, but they are in the tradition, with most of the material being either outright instrumentals or essentially instrumental, with roughly chanted group vocals. Drummer Derrick Tabb plays in assertive marching tempos, and the veteran brass players execute complicated arrangements. This is the sound of the Rebirth Brass Band returning to fundamentals and starting over, just as their hometown was forced to do. - William Ruhlmann mp3@V0 Tracklist 01 – Exactly Like You 02 – I Like It Like That 03 – You Know You Know 04 – The Dilemma 05 – AP Touro 06 – What Goes Around Comes Around 07 – Do It Again 08 – Why Your Feet Hurt 09 – Shrimp and Gumbo 10 – Feelin’ Free 11 – Let’s Go Get ‘Em http://bit.ly/iueRsF

  5. No need to understand anything. Just raising a point. I could care less other than when somebody labels you as unpatriotic because you may not be cheering for the team that has it's home rink in Canada I'd like to see the 'Nucks win it. It would be one helluva party in Vancouver that's for sure. Will I run out in the streets because it's a Canadian city? No
  6. http://bit.ly/iQgoJW Bela Fleck and The Flecktones – Rocket Science [Deluxe Edition] A reunion of the original quartet known as Béla Fleck and the Flecktones can be considered something of an event. Banjoist Fleck is probably the most accomplished “newgrass†player of the last three decades, bassist Victor Wooten a virtuoso in his own right and brother Roy “Futureman†Wooten is practically otherworldly on his ever-evolving, custom-made Drumitar. Add to all of this the return of pianist/harmonica wizard Howard Levy, and the potential for genre-defying instrumental improvisation is high. Basically, these guys can play anything they want, and for the first recording of this particular group in nearly 20 years, Rocket Science shoots for the stars. In some ways, Howard Levy’s unique musicianship and creativity have provided a real boost for his old comrades. The compositions are all quite bold, showcasing everyone’s versatility and highlighting the collective power of the band. Fleck’s impressive banjo style somehow works in the foreground and background simultaneously, as Wooten’s liquid bass weaves between Fleck and Futureman’s authentically rhythmic drum-work samples. Levy’s harmonica can be the least fascinating sound here, but the sonic direction of the Flecktones is still much more adventurous whenever he’s involved. The composition “Life in Eleven†uses Bulgarian dance rhythms, and it might be the most engaging use of the unusual time signature since the Grateful Dead’s group-mind-meld on “The Eleven.†Futureman struts his stuff convincingly on “The Secret Drawer,†which segues nicely into Levy’s piano-based composition “Sweet Pomegranates.†Mostly following the old Weather Report adage of always soloing and never soloing, the Flecktones are simply amazing musicians whose rapport can’t be beat. - Mitch Myers mp3@256 Tracklist 01 – Gravity Lane 02 – Prickly Pear 03 – Joyful Spring 04 – Life In Eleven 05 – Falling Forward 06 – Storm Warning 07 – Like Water 08 – Earthling Parade 09 – The Secret Drawer 10 – Sweet Pomegranates 11 – Falani 12 – Bottle Rocket 13 – Wolf Laurel (Bonus Track) http://bit.ly/iQgoJW
  7. "Canadian" team? Sure. Trivia: They've got the fewest Canadian players of the final four teams sj 22 b 22 tb 19 van 16 I'd like to see Van or Bos win it since it's been so long. However, Vancouver more since they have never won it yet.

Let me know how it turns out if you make the lasagna thing. I think the idea of adding the beef is a good one. As for the mess, bring it on. If you try that Butter Chicken recipe, i highly suggest doubling the spice measurements so it's not too bland.

Here it is: Crock-Pot Lasagna Recipe Servings: Serves 6 Ingredients 3 cans (14.4 ounces) crushed tomatoes 3 cloves garlic , finely chopped 2 Tbsp. dried oregano 1/2 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 containers (15 ounces each) fresh ricotta 2 cups (8 ounces) grated mozzarella 1/4 cup grated Parmesan 12 lasagna noodles (about three-quarters of a 1-pound box) 5 ounces (about 6 cups) baby spinach Directions In a medium bowl, combine the tomatoes, garlic, oregano, salt, red pepper and black pepper. In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta, 1 cup of the mozzarella and Parmesan. In the bottom of a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, spread a thin layer of the sauce. Top with 3 of the noodles (breaking to fit as necessary). Spread about 1 cup of the sauce over the noodles and layer with 2 cups of the spinach and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese mixture. Repeat twice more with the noodles, sauce, spinach and cheese mixture. Top with the remaining 3 noodles, sauce and 1 cup mozzarella. Cook on low, covered, until the noodles are tender—especially in the center of the lasagna—about 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

  13. I read an article last year that was all about the "live" albums that came out of the 70s. They basically pointed out that NONE of them were truly live 100% ... or even very close. The Dead's Skull'n'Roses was another that had massive amounts of edits and overdubs and sounds almost nothing like the real performances. Hybrid Live vs. Live

It continues to be an honor and a great pleasure for so many of us in New York and across America to bear witness to the incredible career and life of this very strong, extremely talented and generous man. 17. I think that the deal with newspapers is this. If you are reading one, and one only, you aren't doing yourself any favours. Just like with TV news. If you're ONLY watching FOX you will be affected by their mandate/slant. That goes for all. If people spent more TIME getting information from multiple sources on their own then they WILL be more informed and intelligent when spouting off about certain topics. We are living in the most ADD age ever. Shit, it's amazing how some people will base their whole decision on a topic simply from the headline in the story. Everything is taken in soundbytes and out-of-context twists.
  18. Ha! Yup' date=' and because we know there is balance in the universe: [b']KABERLE!!
  19. ^^ The Sun is brutal. I have a coworker who brings it in every day. Good guy and all, but once and a while I sneak a peak at the letter to the editor ... that alone makes my blood boil. Promise the Sun readers (insert money give away, or easy policy change like taking away photo radar) and you're IN!!!
