  1. What next? What if your dog has a "fetish"?
  2. It's only $10!!! Come on out. Band will hit the stage around 10pm. Preshow partying from about 7pm on (we'll get hockey games up on the TVs too .)
  3. Chameleon, I'm with you ... that was a great Police cover. I ended up missing the first half of the first set (needed to stop by a "green" friend's house and watch the end of the hockey game). What I heard at the end of the first was fantastic. Ran into a couple of old tour buddies I hadn't seen in at least 7 years and ended up enjoying the second set with them up on the balcony (GREAT SPOT). It was nice and open up there and the sound was better than at the bar downstairs (at the back). Second set blew me away. I loved it. A perfect mix of their styles and influences. Lighting show added a lot to the mix. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up with many of you. I bumped into Cully a couple of times very briefly, but it was nice to see a familiar face from around these parts. I was able to puff a big fatty with my buds up on the balcony. The response time of the stormtroopers was too slow and we were pleasantly done by the time they arrived Next show ... Slippermen! For people who are fans of UM and Phish you gotta try out some of the earlier eras of Genesis (especially 1977 and earlier) it's killer stuff. For whoever mentioned bass pedals ... WOW old Genesis vibrates your soul with those. Just ask Ollie http://jambands.ca/sanctuary/showpost.php?post/433647/

  6. Agreed. I remember seeing him open up for Buddy Guy at LuLu's (Kitchener) YEARS ago. Blew me away. Bought his new release at the time: Texas Sugar Strat Magik. Great album.

  8. Sweet! I'm listening to an UM podcast right now: http://cache.libsyn.com/umphreysmcgee/umpodcast43.mp3 Just melted into a Dub Side Of The Moon'ish version of Breathe ... Gotta get outta work and to the show!
  9. about 4 years ago there was a major infestation of lady bugs (well something related to lady bugs) in and around where my cottage was. You'd find thousands of them in the window sills. Freaky! Just be thankful you didn't live in Australia during THIS infestation:

  15. Does the Constitution make a difference when you're "The Decider"? You can decide to do anything!
  16. UGH. It's amazing how British Petroleum .. oooops, I mean BEYOND Petroleum has remarketed themselves. The colours and design of their new logo are easily interpreted as being eco/enviro-friendly. Dumb consumers fall for that shit, especially when it's "trendy". I remember in the 80s when being eco-friendly was present enough that companies saw that it was desirable to convey themselves that way. Consumer choice to their products by believing they are more friendly than a competitor meant increased sales and profits. Everything stamped a little green tree on their packaging with no sort of regulation. BP ... still spits shit out your exhaust http://www.breaktaker.com/albums/pictures/signs/BusAd.jpg
  17. However, Drive by stabbings do a lot less collateral damage than do drive by shootings ... Those lobbying to have students armed (how about legged?) to avoid situations like this is ass-backward. We're ending up with an arms race within US society. You get a gun, I get a gun. You get a semi-automatic, I get a fully-automatic. You order an armour plated Hummer, I get a tank. Putting out fire with gasoline ...
  18. I'm in ... don't know how early I can get there, but i'm gunning for no later than 9pm.
  19. Should have stuck with Version 6? I've found that "upgrading" to new versions of software/OS/etc can prove to be more frustrating than advantageous sometimes. I had read that Nero 7 had some "issues" and that it was advised to stick with 6 if you don't really need any of the new features.
  20. where are you getting this from? i can't find anything that has these higher numbers. highest i've seen is 22. CBC Newsworld on the TV in front of me. 31 confirmed dead. Deadliest mass shooting in US history!!! I'm wanting to turn it off. News like this is so depressing.
  21. AD ... sadly, you can change the subject line to: 29 Dead at Virginia Tech
