    BEER!!

Rochester Pub is good too. Pub Italia would have the widest selection I'd say, tons of world-wide bottled beer and decent amount of draught. Manx is the best place to drink many kinds of beer though. Or Chez Lucien. (Beer places closely correspond with burger places.....) Stay away from the Royal Oak chain.
  3. .... made by countless hundreds of people in the last week
  4. Exactly, smoking wastes so much time and money! Do something productive while not killing yourself and others around you, smokers!
  5. I'm all for these smoking bans. I know it's pretty much fascist but in this case I'm ok with it.
  6. No guarantees about iPhone 5 this summer.
  7. The 3G is very slow and while it should work fine with the built-in stuff, apps being created and sold now are designed for much faster and powerful hardware. Apple doesn't support this device anymore. I'd say take the device, but no way would I pay for it.

    Bonnaroo 2012

    ABSOLUTELY!! Great point.
  9. Pretty gutsy to do the same thing to Robyn F AND Rhianna. Cops gotta watch out for this guy.
  10. It was an Ontario-only question during the 2007 provincial election. Voting laws aren't going to change any time soon unfortunately. Too bad we have 30 new MPs but no new rules on how to elect them more fairly.

    Bonnaroo 2012

Old Stone Fort State Park, right beside Manchester to the west. Lots of cool stuff around there, beautiful countryside. The mountains to the northwest and all the reservoirs created by the Tennessee Valley Authority provide lots of good scenery and places to camp / swim / detox.

    Bonnaroo 2012

I did 6 Bonnaroos in total - 03, 04, 05, 06, 08, 09. The advice given above is excellent although I'd disagree with staying further from Centeroo. The further you are the more time you spend in the sun getting cooked walking to the venue, the less likely you are to head back once you're in for the night, the harder it is to catch a nap when you need one (and you will need one) etc etc. Water and shade are your best friends. Skip either of these and you'll be in the med tent or worse. Bring footwear that's comfortable and you don't mind getting ruined. Bring a spare set of car keys in case you lose your only set (happened to me - not my fault - miraculous ending to the story) Don't expect to get in the front row for your favourite band. Rain gear is a must. If you're a poster collector bring a big empty tube and a big empty credit card. There's a waterfall near Manchester that's pretty cool. Jack Daniels distillery is a quick drive but it's in a dry county. I think you can drink at Maker's Mark on the way home... Nashville is fun. House Of Cash is terrible (although haven't tried to go there since 03 so could be drastically different.) Kentucky is fun. Cincinnati is fun.
  13. Does Brian Wilson even know this is happening?

    Ottawa vinyl buyers

    Nice update to this story.
  15. Album / International Album of Year are based solely on sales. New Artist / Group is based on combination of sales and judging. Whoever submitted the packages for the New Group / Artist categories is likely affiliated with said group and therefore fully aware of how long they've been together.
  16. Moving to some far-off, no walk-up, awful terrible place called Scotiabank Place for the next 2 seasons.
  17. Sufjan Stevens' Xmas albums are great. There are many good Xmas albums. What is the criteria for that category? Sheepdogs, while I love their name, are so bland and unoriginal that I'm not at all surprised they're nominated for a Juno . Hehe Jokes aside, Deep Dark Woods, Junior Boys and lots of other artists nominated deserve more press / recognition / a sales bump, so good for the small bands.
  18. Good points. If I can see a show without putting money in Spectrasonic's coffers I'm all for it. And yeah, nice night out, good atmosphere, the sound will be good, etc etc. Glad it's permanent!! Hope it succeeds like crazy. And hope they include all genres and styles.
  19. No, it was a message for anyone reading. So, yes, in a way I guess. But it was for others too. Huh? What?
  20. Like Jill Barber needs help getting a following. Good idea for a series though, hope they make it permanent, year-round, all genres, cheaper tickets, and regular shows.
  21. He needs a cartridge for his turntable for the shows this weekend. If you can help find him on twitter or call the Sheep.
  22. Was downtown and stopped in to NAC to get Barr Brothers tickets and noticed The Sadies are playing 2 nights in the Studio. Tickets are on sale now.
