  1. Nice to have you back, my friend. I was thinking of you while enduring a very mediocre Dylan show the other night in Toronto. I assume you were somewhere in the room. Never leave here again.
  2. I've only ever been mildly entertained by Xavier. I wouldn't pay 29 bucks to see him. (I hope this doesn't take me out of the running for a chance to win tickets to see him, though, because he is definitely worth seeing for the price of free tickets.)
  3. Well ... I'll just say I'm getting used to it. I should not comment beyond that. (I now consider myself an ex-snowboarder, though.)
  4. Beats, I would certainly have posted that one, if I'd known. They don't come much "reggae-er" than Lee Perry. It's a bit difficult to stay on top of what's happening out there these days, though, given my current location. I count on you guys to help me out with this here board...
  5. Hahahahaha I think your info is a bit out of date. I "sold out" and moved to Toronto! I can't believe it either. That said, I have a good friend in Whistler who will take care of you, if you like. Just send me a PT when you're heading out there, and I'll make sure he's waiting for you.
  6. I would contact the guys in Flowmotion. http://www.flowmotion.net/ They're friendly guys, and that is really their 'hood. Feel free to mention that I suggested writing to them.
  7. Brad, I thank you muchly for this. I am downloading right now. It was great seeing you again on Friday. We have to see more of each other now that I'm in this province.
  8. I had a great time. That was my first BNB show, ever, and I feel fortunate. I also got a chance to put a few faces-to-names of some people from this board; which was also a treat. I learned something odd, though. Until this weekend, I thought "Burtman" was named Burt Neilson. I now have learned there is no Burt Neilson. Where did the name of the band come from?
  9. It is ... well ... "different". One of my favourites though.
  10. It stars the same guy who played "Withnail" in Withnail and I to give you an idea of what it's like. (Both movies were by Handmade Films.)
  11. How to Get Ahead in Advertising is one of the most brilliant movies ever. It's by "Handmade Films" which was George Harrison's company. To oversimplify, it's about a talking mole.
  12. 1. Why would she be afraid to reply to a thread? I can understand ignoring your "challenge", but what would she have to fear? 2. She is neither a guy nor a girl. She is an adult woman. 3. I find Lazlo to be quite knowledgeable about many things, but everyone is ignorant of some facts. No one knows everything.
  13. Keither: If you want Bonfire events to be pinned on this page, I suggest posting separately for each event you're promoting. I can "stick" this one for today, but when I unstick it tomorrow I am likely to forget to re-stick it in December.
  14. Are you suggesting that Stoned Phillips might be afraid to reply to you?
  15. I have just learned that approximately one week ago The Slip cancelled this gig. Sorry folks.
  16. I think you mis-heard the story about who dry-humped Bob that day, livingstoned. That was me.
  17. I sure hope our network doesn't do that. I would have some serious trouble working on and reviewing evidence regarding, for instance, defamation actions...
  18. Not really my thing, but for those interested... Bassnectar BC Tour in December December 8 Plush Vancouver December 9 Jungle Room Victoria December 12 GLC Whistler December 14 Level Nite Club 275 Leon Ave. Kelowna December 15 TBA Nelson December 16 TBA Nelson
  19. Pffft. I didn't need to be a Dylan fan to be able to handle four straight minutes of screaming. I got that every morning of my childhood living with my Mom. I'd like to see Grohl deal with that! (I think I really dig Dave Grohl after last night.)
  20. My new favourite thread, ever.
  21. That was a very mediocre show, at best. Dylan's band was clearly far more excited about playing with Dylan than Dylan was about playing. The show was 'average', and that's not why I go to see Dylan. I think I'm done with him live. He's too hit-and-miss. Oddly enough, the Foo Fighters actually quite impressed me.
