  1. I have to agree with The Mammoth. Kingswood '89 was so terrible that I really did almost walk out. (As it happens, I also agree and couldn't walk out because it was Dylan.) I promised myself that day, though, that I'd never see him again. I was so pissed off. I finally changed my mind when he played with Santana about 7 years later or so, but I had missed many Dylan shows by then, and with pleasure. Since the mid-'90's though (I think the Santana show was '96 ... Velvet help me out here?) I've enjoyed every Dylan show I've seen; more or less. Looking forward to tonight. (I'll be needing a show tonight, as I am on my way into a second day of a hearing at the Court of Appeal, and it is not going well. Dylan ... take me away...)
  2. Well, like 'em or hate 'em, these guys have definitely touched some people over the years. Here's a quote from a friend of mine posting on another board...
  3. I actually find this link to be more convenient, though. ~SM
  4. Congratulations DJ. It sounds beautiful. I plan to swing by some time in the next year on my way through, as I will certainly be getting to Qualicum Beach sooner or later. One question, though. (Hypothetically speaking) if someone in Ontario promised you some CDs a while ago, and was only about to burn them this weekend and mail them out, would it be to the same address you had a few weeks ago?
  5. Added by StoneMtn for clarity: It's at The Yale Hotel, and you can check out all the info you need for this and other Yale shows here.
  6. New Riders! Now I'm annoyed about being so far away. You westerners better get yerasses to this one. Tickets go on sale on Monday for $25. They can be purchased with a credit card by calling the bar. The Yale Hotel Tel: 604-681-9253 Fax: 604-681-9353 Web Site: www.theyale.ca
  7. There's a voice' date=' that keeps on callin' me..down the road, that's where I'll always be..and every stop I make, I'll make a new friend...can't stay for long, just turn around and I'm gone again... [/quote'] Did anyone ever see anyone on that show actually feed that dog? I mean, he'd show up and help everyone with their problems, and then hit the road again, but how did he eat? [color:purple]Damn animal-cruelty shows...
  8. That was me. I'm still waiting for an answer, Jared. Wanna fight?
  9. Are there two bands called Duran Duran Duran? The one from Whistler plays Tenacious D, Ween, other stuff. I don't think they play any '80s songs (but I must admit I've never seen them).
  10. It was The Pretenders; and I doubt it was a bad night. Many people around me were singing along and cheering. I was embarrassed on their behalf.
  11. Well, that is good news for scheduling, as I can just be late for the show, then. I had to sit through one of their sets at the Gorge when they opened for Neil Young a few years back. I promised myself I would never subject myself to that again.
  12. I think Booche is far too mainstream.
  13. Suuuuuurrrre, you don't read them.
  14. I am also curious. I'll let you know his answer when I get a chance to talk to him about it in person.
  15. My own personal resident computer-geek emailed me the following statement this morning:
  16. Edit to add: (Great minds think alike. Or, at least Stoned Philips and I do.)
  17. Well, the obvious nominee (and obvious winner)... Trailer Park Boys
  18. I have come across a prereleased version of MS Windows Vista (legally, I swear). I may give it a try, but I actually quite dig Windows XP, personally. Any geeks out there who have already tried Vista? Any comments?
  19. Oh ya. Nothing beats a Who "Farewell Tour". lol

  21. My friend has directed me to the thread I referred to, which is here.
