  1. Live recordings are at http://archive.org/details/GreenskyBluegrass Aloha' date=' Brad[/quote'] This one is a favourite, and was fun to be at. The "All Four" is especially tasty if you have seventeen minutes to invest. Edit to add: funny, they just announced some tour dates in our general neck of the woods: 4/23 in Syracuse and 4/24 in Burlington. I will certainly be doing one of those, and will ideally be at both.
  2. I thought $109 was a little steep for two bands and one day, but apparently it's a two-day thing featuring Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Hey Rosetta! and others. Link to Star story
  3. Greensky Bluegrass is not to be missed for anyone who is a fan of either traditional or progressive bluegrass. In addition to being capable of absolutely shredding, they're more patient than bands like Yonder, so you get some pretty nice slow builds. Theirs have been some of my favourite shows of the past two or three years.
  4. Plus, even the "sourciest" of rumoured dates might just be holds.
  5. There are a couple of threads on PT saying that two nights is likely, one of which says July 3rd and 4th. Rumours, for sure, but slightly more credible than the fake document above.
  6. Uncool. I'm bussing from downtown tonight (back-to-back games for the first time since I was knee high to a grasshopper). I'll be interested to see how my escape time compares with last night's, when I was in a car. Sweet blog.
  7. You serious Clark? I stayed way late after the game to watch an interview and was home downtown at around 11:30.
  8. Pretty listless start against the Caps tonight. Almost no signs of life from anyone other than Anderson until late in the second. Really fun to see them keep chipping away, though, and come out with the come-from-behind win, even if the Caps are a less than formidable opponent. SBP was a fun place to be tonight.
  9. I couldn't find the earlier thread on this, but good news, in my opinion, for live music in Ottawa:
  10. Three in a row to start the season, not bad at all. Pretty sure I'm going to be given tickets for Sens/Habs Wednesday night. Wicked awesome.
  11. 'Twould be very surprising if Darien was their only NY/NJ/MA stop. If nothing else, it's great to see Toronto popping up consistently in the rumours,
  12. Thanks muchly you two. Aside from BMFF tickets, all I really wanted today were birthday wishes from a heady geographer and a world-traveling musician/writer/teacher guy. It's a Christmas miracle!
  13. A long shot, but stranger things have happened. Two would be good; four would be life-changing. Make my every birthday wish come true (yes, it's today). Peace out.
  14. Those shirts are hilarious, and I think they were out within 24 hours.
  15. I'm assuming most of you have seen this by now, but the thread seemed incomplete without it.
  16. What a twisted story. A few thoughts: 1. I certainly believe that public figures are entitled to their privacy. But Te'o was all too willing to make "her" "death" a part of his story this year, so my sympathy level for him is somewhat lower than it might have been. 2. It certainly doesn't look like he was complicit. 3. It also looks like he overstated the role she played in his life, and he was a little slow on the draw in coming forward once he knew she never existed. 4. I look forward to next year when Notre Dame football regresses to the mean and is once again irrelevant. Anyone else?
  17. Great show last night. Them's some talented players.
  18. I took it Tuesday night. If nothing else, it was a fun ten minutes.
