Listen team, here's the situation. I'm on the LTIR dealing with relocating my family and Booche is clearing not playing at 100% these days. We're going to need some 4th liners to step up or we're going to finish in the basement this season.

I repeat nick lidstrom loves my twitter account. I officially won twitter. Its over. Boom. Not sure if lidstrom has a twitter account. On a side note we beat detroit. 4 to 2. I crushed a hot dog during the second. It was unreal. Actually it was a cross between a hot dog and sausage. I have awful heart burn from it now. Note to self. Eat the pizza pizza next time. Did I mention I paid 4.25 for the sautdog. Now I know how they can afford to pay us. I thought I was getting a zetterberg jersey with it.

Anybody else keeping tabs on this? The guy is a riot! Fridays are "Bryzgalov quote of the week".

Alright, so here's my quick report. Amazing weekend. Flew into to Halifax on Friday afternoon, got shuttled to the hotel with Dan Boeckner and wife, so that was a cool start. Checked out an insanely loud North Of America all-ages set before my old age kicked in. Huron at the Seahorse was highlight of Friday night - Aaron et al slayed the room as it filled up. The Paragon was at capacity by this time, so I gave up on the Hold Steady and bounced around between bars for the rest of the night. Saturday, We Are Action played our best set since I've been in the band to a packed venue. I spent the next hour watching Cuff The Duke through the window from outside the Paragon, then got inside for Tokyo Police Club and Young Rival. I've never listened to Tokyo Police Club before, they seem to be the new Sloan, crowd was going bananas. Young Rival was even better to my ears, but the bar completely cleared out after Tokyo Police Club. Bad scheduling. Saturday highlight was the unannounced after-party at the Khyber. Long Long Long played a set of mad genius, then Play Guitar lived up to their name and did side A of Marquee Moon.

I saw the Mtl show, the Paragon was at capacity by the time I got there. Very similar setlists. The Cabaret Mile End show was one the best sounding bar shows I've ever heard, just perfect sound. And very intimate, maybe 200 people there.

When did Murray say he wanted Kadri? Burke is the only one who dropped a name, Murray just agreed after Burke told him who he wanted. May have been bluffing for all we know.

Maybe I'm biased - but I don't think so, I've always enjoyed Burke's antics - but I've never understood why he came out and told Murray he wanted Kadri? Why show your cards when the other guy hasn't told you anything? At any rate, Burke volunteered to be mic'ed for TSN and put on a show for them all day.

I'm hoping to make Halifax too, but my fate is in the hands of Air Canada and the size of the lineup at the Marquee.

Carey's looked solid since the first period of game 1 vs the Leaves. Which is too bad... because I was hoping to see this city burn from my balcony.

I know it's Steve Downie, but that was another garbage hit by Lapierre the gutless wonder.

I've been watching a bit on the GameCenter free preview. It seems like when the originating feed is HD, the streaming quality is amazing. I was curious how the price ($159 for the season) compares to ordering Center Ice through your cable co?

Saw this guy (these guys?) open for the Walkmen the other night. Why have I never listened to him before? Sounded a bit like M Ward or Ryan Adams with a healthy dose of Crazy Horse, really great stuff.

At least I can count on Booche getting jokes, you bunch of mouth breathers.
