  1. If by "it" you mean "a very understanding wife", then yes, yes I do.
  2. Fuck it, I'm calling an audible and coming to Ottawa tonight.
  3. This leads me to another question - what's the best way to back shit up? In the cloud?
  4. 'Put That On My Tombstone' and 'As The Crow Flies By' were both a cappella numbers.
  5. Killer show last night, I thoroughly enjoyed that. You guys are in for a treat tonight.
  6. These guys just desyroyrd Sleepyhead and Nathans telling the drug bust story.
  7. This is rich. Now the Post has a new article calling dedicated to calling her article "courageous". http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2011/08/23/jonathan-kay-who-has-the-guts-to-call-out-laytons-cynical-manifesto-blatchford-of-course/
  8. The show rolls on --- Nathan Moore safely inside Canada! See u tomorrow at La Sala Rosa in Montreal! http://twitter.com/#!/smmdband
  9. I've got so much to say but I'm off the grid with limited cell and interwebs access this week. I never realized how crappy the cell coverage is in the maritimes. Who runs this Rogers network anyway? I'm going to copy something written by Sean Michaels of Said The Gramophone because he expresses it better than I ever could. It's some sort of cruel joke that Charles Bradley and U2 played simultaneously within 50kms of each other in NB Saturday night.

  11. Jezus quit spilling the beans guys. I wish I knew how to post a photo from my phone from backstage.
  12. Also of note - Charles Bradley is headlining Sackville on Saturday night, opening for Stevie Wonder in LA on Sunday night.
  13. Awesome, I wondered if you might be coming. Congrats on opening for a grammy winner... err, at least so I hear. I thought late night Steamboat + friends as the finale last year couldn't be topped. But The Sadies at George's? Forgetaboutit.
  14. Wise choice. I thought last year was as good as it could get, but from what I'm hearing this year will blow the roof off.
  15. Anybody else going to Sappy this year? I'm starting to get super excited. http://www.sappyfest.com/SappyFest_11/about.html
  16. That "Letter from a messenger song" is a Daniel Lanois song.

I thought this explained it pretty well. https://plus.google.com/photos/100238778462210489846/albums/5629087019815403777/5629087022238672962
  18. Wait... I thought the whole thing couldn't fit on vinyl?
  19. Excellent, now they can finally release that album they released last fall.
  20. What bouche said. That's your fuckign guitar now.
  21. Surprisingly, it appears to be a better deal on service charge through Ticketmaster than Front Gate for the Montreal show.
  22. Holy fucking shit. What an incredible show last night in Mtl. My ears are ringing like mofos and my heart is still pounding. Victory Dance - incredibly powerful opener Circuital Gideon Anytime I'm Amazed Evil Urges Outta My System Golden Slow Slow Tune You Wanna Freak Out Honest Man Off The Record Mahgeetah Moving Away Dondante - ridiculously epic ending, augmented by running into Dave Mayne Smokin From Shootin Touch Me Pt. 2 I Will Sing You Songs -- Wordless Chorus The Day Is Coming Holdin' On To Black Metal Highly Suspicious Dancefloors One Big Holiday I agree with Jaimoe, the Evil Urges material sounded great and meshed well last night. Except Highly Suspicious - it's still a piece of shit. No obvious signs of wear on Jim's voice last night.
