i'll take this opportunity to recommend a really great book about AIDS called 'and the band played on'. it's pretty crazy to think of the beginnings of AIDS and how people (read: the government) looked the other way refusing to believe that it would become an epidemic.

mmmm. velvet and i just ate a dragon fruit a few weeks ago. unfortunately, it wasn't quite as nice as when you get it fresh in vietnam! but it was still nice ps. thanks for the link! i learned some stuff.
