i have also stayed at the Top Hill Motel...it's kind of a dump but might be cheaper. also walking distance but a bit farther i think, you get to walk through the woods though. and there's a pit BBQ place right next door.

Hilton Garden Inn at 125 S Broadway is at the edge of the park and walking distance to the show (about a mile). Be careful to get that one because IIRC there are 2 Hilton Garden Inns in that town and one is miles away from the venue.

there is now a good olive oil & balsamic store in the glebe, second ave at bank (next to home hardware). i have tried a number of different flavours from them and it's so delicious! the name of the place is the Unrefined Olive.

i dunno if you've had a jibarito, fluff? if not try one next time you're in chicago! they are yummy. it's like a cuban sandwich but the 'bread' is fried plantains. grilled cheese (with various additions) is probably my favourite type of sandwich! love paninis too. i also love a sandwich stacked with tons of veggies - grated carrot, cuc, red onion, sprouts, tomato, lettuce, avocado - on a nice grain bread.

you need a credit card to buy any tickets online, that's not new. prepaid credit cards are ubiquitous these days...are those not accepted? maybe they aren't, since scalpers could use them then. but if you wanted to line up or go to an outlet and pay cash, that option is still available to you for all the other ticket price points. sure you can. buy the ticket insurance that is offered when you buy the tickets. it's not perfect. but you would rather 95% of the tickets go to scalpers because of these issues which don't even apply to you. i don't feel that way. ::shrug::

i'm sorry. are you at all interested in the next price level of tix (166$)?

i am loving the anti-scalping measures. sure, i can't buy the 85$ tix for allll my friends, but they could have bought their own easily...why? because when scalpers/bots are taken out of the equation (like they were for these tix) we all pull tix and get in. i mean, it certainly wasn't luck that we all got the tix. i kept pulling pair after pair (after i'd bought mine) and just couldn't buy them because of the limit. there is no way that would have ever happened if scalper/bots had been on it. i bet maybe 1 person here might have got tix otherwise.
