  4. bouche, darren does most of his work on a macbook now. he mostly uses drupal but he might be able to help...
  5. while i do like centretown a lot, we moved because it was getting too crimey. my old car kept getting broken into, and then my new car got the mirrors ripped off. and yes it is pretty safe like AD said, but someone did get murdered almost in front of our place [gilmour & kent]. as a girl i think it's a little different, too. now we're in hintonburg. our nextdoor neighbour is a crack addict and that place on spadina that got busted is pretty much right behind our place. hah. but NO car break ins!! and we definitely don't have the human cracky traffic that we had on gilmour.
  6. i managed on honey nut cheerios for most of my childhood. i never eat cereal anymore! but i love cereal.
  7. little italy has good prices and good peeps!
  8. and in the spirit of the other thread that's happening, RE diverting tickets and all that, i would like to be on the safe side and say 'fuck you ticketmaster!'
  9. nope. i was on there at 10am on the button and the only ones i could get at were the ones going for $250. so, no, i will not be going
  10. so much kale! we have been using it though. we've been chopping it up and putting it in the curry stir fry. we've also used it in soups. darren is also on a juice kick, he's been putting it through the juicer! i haven't tried it raw yet.
  11. ooo thanks! good ideas. we have been making tons of soups this winter too. lately with all these veggies we've also been making huge veggie stir fry's with patak's curry paste. yummmmmmm..
  12. i'm definitely not one to be defending Harper, but what was wanker-ish about that? just asking...
  13. ah. the ottawa presale started yesterday but i guess i'll have to wait til march 2nd with the rest of the masses! in ottawa there are three options, the first is around $60, then about $120 then $200-something. i will be trying for the cheapies!
  14. what are you guys doing with your rutabagas?
  15. anyone have info about this? i'm supposed to get tickets for people at work.
  16. yeah it was definitely off. i know jack's voice is supposed to be kinda screechy, but he sounded like he was struggling. ah well! the show was funny.
  17. good work todd! i'm glad someone kind of saw. i heard on the radio this morning that he would be riding in his vehicle which they call "the beast", apparently it's bigger than a big hummer and it's hermetically sealed and bulletproof this and extra protective that. it sounded real fancy-like.
  18. yup i think we got all the same stuff! we also got parsnips this week, which was new. i am finding the sprouty things a bit stemmy. i think i need to chop them up or something. oh and here's a chicken pic! i hope!
  19. it wasn't bad! a little dry. but a success. i will post a picture.
  20. ah yes the greens! i think we're going to get into those tonight. we also got broccoli and an onion. i bought an organic chicken from saslove's, so tonight we're having roast chicken and we put the little potatoes, onion and some carrots from the store under the chicken in the roasting pan. i also stuck a whole bunch of garlic and lemon inside the chicken. we are hoping this goes better than when we tried to roast a turkey [disaster]. yay food
  21. we got a red pepper, some kale [i think it's kale?], some cute little potatoes, a cauliflower, two kinds of mushrooms, a sweet potato, a garlic bulb... i know i'm forgetting some...
